Most overrated Present NFL Head Coach...

OVERRATED-Andy Ried-if they didn't have that def. coordinator.... they never get to the super bowl or those 3 NFC championship games.
UNDERRATED-Marvin Lewis-there is a reason Billick has a superbowl ring and Lewis is the main reason. I think Lewis is good at picking players in the draft process too.

Joe Gibbs is not overrated. Period.

Yet Brian Billick definitely is the most overrated HC in the league. Everyone in Baltimore can't stand his pompous, condescending attitude. An attitude totally undeserving considering he's never had a good offense in any season as his tenure as Ravens coach, and he's still being billed as an "offensive genius". I can't wait for him to fall on his face once again this season so he can finally get the ax.

How is Jeff Fisher overated?, it seems to me he's underated. Cowher was overated, but he's got a SB now. Denny Green and Martz never impressed me much. Is it Possible that John Fox is underated as well, his teams like Fisher's are always well prepared and Gritty.

Get your timeline straight...

2004- poor offense for many reasons, poor team
2005- 4 game improvement, offense improves to #11 in NFL, NFC seminfinals
2006- brings in Al Saunders to improve an already equipped offense, one of the top NFC contenders

Anyone who thinks Joe Gibbs is overrated needs their head examined. He has won 3 Super Bowls and is in the Hall of Fame - only coach in the league with those credentials.

well to be in the league and be in the hall of fame is only possible if you retired for 5+ years and then came back, and gibbs is the only one who did that, so . . . anyways gibbs is not over-rated, hes one of the best in the league.

i personally like lovie smith, hes good.

over-rated - jon gruden . . .

I think I am one of the most overated coaches in the NFL. I mean, I can go 19-0 in Madden but I don't feel like I'm that talented.

Then again, maybe I am. Wonder why no teams will give me a shot.

Brian Billick comes to mind.

He can thank Marvin Lewis and a great personnel department for putting together an incredible defense that gave him a Super Bowl.
I agree. For all his supposed offensive genius, his offenses have done nothing since he left Minny.

I'd say Gruden's chucky thing is also a bit overdone.

Although he's not in the league, I still think George Seifert as most over-rated. Took over a very good 49ers team, but couldn't do squat with the Panthers.

I agree! St. Gibbs is the best "strike season" SuperBowl winner in history!

:dissskin:

leave it to cowboys fans to call a HOF coach with 3 super bowl rings, overrated.

Was there a strike in 1991? Thank you, now ****. :)

You finally won a SuperBowl back in 1991? Was that when the Cowboys were down and out? And, a new Cowboys taking place? That year, wayyyy back then? That one? :laugh2:

The Dallas Cowboys actually GAVE you that one!

By getting your butts kicked 38-6 in the playoffs by Detroit, a team who would lose to Washington 41-10 the following week in the NFC championship game

As for this thread, Billick gets my nod

Now that the Division is full of Heavyweights let's see what Andy reid does.

Last year wasn't enough proof? :D

I do expect them to rebound some. To get back to the NFC Championship game would really surprise me however.
