I don't think the question is whether or not he's a solid prospect...me and the OP seem to agree we've read he's being mocked in the top 10 which is wild.

I think he's a tick below OJ Howard as a prospect who was taken at 19. I do think TJ is a 1st rounder, but more-so in the 20-30 range.

I agree he'll have a good career, but there's half a dozen stud pass rushers available in this class, plus some great LBs and some studs at a few other positions. I just can't see Hock providing a bigger impact than them to justify a top 10 pick.

Trevon Wesco is an underrated TE/H back. Again I don't like to sound like a homer but the kid can play.

Overrated:
T.J. Hockenson - Good prospect but the hype on him has reached epic proportions; I’ve seen some projections of him going even as high as 7th overall. That’s ludicrous.

In fact, I’d be willing to bet 5 years from now he’s not even the best TE from this class.

Dallas Clark 2.0....question is...how do you under value that?

* opinioned view: "While the envisioned persona of the old " oilers" franchise was sound in it's conceptualization, I mean, like ,helmet logos of old school wooden drilling derricks, was pretty cool, yet the chosen color scheme itself was beyond pathetically lame,for black&gold should've been the obvious color schemed choice,,,WHILE thelat currently acknowledged franchise in that A.O. ,the TEXANS garishly presented color scheme in it's abstract conceptualization is of a most visually painful nature to behold.

DAL has no shot at drafting either TJ Hockenson nor Noah Fant. My comments had no intent of support to draft a TE. I am all in on a Defensive draft built on serious speed. Defensive speed wins. Football is not rocket science. I don’t understand why our GM has made creating a roster so difficult for the past 25 years?

I think basically anyone involved in the passing game - QBs, TEs and WRs - are all overrated. The TEs are good, but I think their value has been greatly overstated. I'd way rather take someone like Nauta in the 5th than Hockensen in the top-15.

I still think some of the highly regarded DTs are underrated. Ed Oliver should be in the convo for #1 overall and I'm on board with Jerry Tillery as underrated.
