I remember them saying the next day on a sports show that it wasn't just the highest rated game (which it was), but was also the highest rated show ever aired on cable....ie. it beat any sitcom that has ever been on, etc.

The game drew 27.6 million viewers, making it the highest-rated and most watched NFL regular season Sunday afternoon game on any network since 1997.
