If he went to the Browns, I don't think those games would have ranked in the top 8.

but he didnt. He went to the Cowboys. Cowboys + Tuna + TO= Lots of media attention.

You're right. Parcells on another team = less media attention.

TO on another team = less media attention.

I see a common strain here.

Heh yeah he did. Hopefully he has matured and we wont hear about him in the news doing stuff like that anymore. It helps that he almost never talks to the media.

Just to clarify, the Cowboys-Giants game that drew 27.6 million viewers wasn't the record-setting cable game. That one was on Fox.

The ESPN Monday Night game between the Cowboys and Giants drew 16.0 million, making it the most-watched cable program ever.

These were ESPN's top-five games --

1. ESPN Monday Night Football (Giants-Cowboys), 10/23 -- 16.0 million
2. ESPN Monday Night Football (Falcons-Saints), 9/25 -- 15.0 million
3. ESPN Monday Night Football (Bears-Cardinals), 10/16 -- 14.23 million
4. ESPN Monday Night Football (Bengals-Colts), 12/18 -- 14.22 million
5. ESPN Monday Night Football (Steelers-Jaguars), 9/18 -- 13.3 million

2 of the games were against the Eagles. TO hype factor. Also, 2 other games were on national holidays....folks kinda forced to watch those games. Just saaaaaaaaaayin........:)

It's funny none of the other Christmas or Thanksgiving day games were among the most watched.

Just sayin'. :)

It's really time for the Commanders fans to understand that the Cowboys are better in every way, and stop coming up with excuses. We won't accept you into the fold, but you may admire from afar.

No. The Packers are. A Harris poll says so.

I know you're joshing, but the latest Harris poll has the Steelers as America's most popular team. This is becuase they won the Super Bowl last season.

Dallas is #2, and has been in the Top 5 since Harris started their polls.

Here is the latest harris Poll:

http://www.harrisinteractive.com/harris_poll/index.asp?PID=700

The Harris Poll® # 73, September 26, 2006
Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys are Favorite Teams Among U.S. Adults Who Follow Professional Football

Twenty percent think Indianapolis Colts will win the Super Bowl
The 2006 Super Bowl Champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, are ranked as the No. 1 favorite National Football League (NFL) team among U.S. adults who follow pro football. Though the Steelers were in the top five last year, this is their first time at the top of this list since tracking began on this topic in 1998. The Dallas Cowboys remain at No. 2, a position they have held since 2004. Rounding out the top five are the Indianapolis Colts (No. 3, moving up five percentage points from last year’s ranking), the Green Bay Packers (No. 4, dropping from No. 1 in 2005) and the New England Patriots (No. 5).
These are the results of a nationwide survey conducted online by Harris Interactive® between September 7 and 13, 2006 among 2,747 U.S. adults, of whom 1,306 follow professional football.

That poll also is stupid because it asks for your two favorite NFL teams. I don't understand that.

It's also just including "adults who follow professional football." Among casual fans, I'm certain we'd be No. 1. And even if we're not the most-favorite every year, you can bet people watch us because we're the most-hated team, too.

And by the way, here are the combined totals for seven years they have listed --

1. Dallas Cowboys 113
2. Green Bay Packers 112
3. San Francisco 49ers 84
4. Pittsburgh Steelers 75
5. Denver Broncos 60
6. New England Patriots 57
7. Chicago Bears 56
8. Oakland Raiders 56
9. New York Giants 54
10. Miami Dolphins 49
11. Philadelphia Eagles 46
12. Washington Commanders 46
13. Minnesota Vikings 43
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 39
15. New York Jets 39
16. Indianapolis Colts 38
17. Cleveland Browns 36.2**
18. Kansas City Chiefs 33
19. St. Louis Rams 32
20. Seattle Seahawks 31
21. Carolina Panthers 30
22. Houston Texans 25.2**
23. Atlanta Falcons 25
24. Buffalo Bills 25
25. Tennessee Titans 24
26. Detroit Lions 24
27. San Diego Chargers 19
28. Cincinnati Bengals 19
29. Baltimore Ravens 17
30. New Orleans Saints 17
31. Jacksonville Jaguars 12
32. Arizona Cardinals 11

**Average percentage per year multiplied by seven, since they weren't in the league all seven years.
