Shawshank Redemption – Andy doesn’t report, they go to his cell, the warden is outraged, nobody knows where Dufresne could possibly be until the warden starts throwing some rocks in the cell at the guards and Red. Rock hits the poster of Raquel Welch and it tears. They discover Andy’s escape tunnel and then Andy’s plan all along.
Chasing Amy – The ending gets me every time. You legitimately fine the one person in your life that is truly perfect for you in every which way, but your ego and stupidity get in the way and ruin it. The friendship between Bodie and Holden was so real when certain friends just don’t like you dating somebody and their passive aggressive nature towards it. And how Alyssa’s friends turned their backs on her when she was dating a heterosexual male. All that and Holden finally realizing how badly he screwed up and shattered his relationship with Alyssa and expressing that to her with the comic book which was devastating beautiful and sad in so many ways.
Rudy – After Rudy has lunch on his birthday with his friend Pete and tells Pete “you’re the only one that has ever believed in me” and Pete replies that ‘dreams are what make life tolerable.” Later on Pete dies in a horrific accident at the mill.
Rocky I – Rocky telling Adrian that all he wants to do is to go the distance with Creed because that would signify he did something meaningful in his life. The first round hits and Rocky is getting embarrassed and then out of nowhere he knock Creed with a hard left uppercut, sending Creed to the mat for the first time of his career. The crowd is stunned as the announcers raise up out of their seats shocked at what they saw. Creed gets up and starts to come back and breaks Rocky’s nose, for the first time ever. Rocky starts to get clobbered in the 2nd round and then Creed tells him that doesn’t he know that this is a show which ticks Rocky off and he proceeds to clobber the champ again. Then they show the promoter, smoking his cigar while watching in disbelief.
Pretty much everything from Requiem for a Dream. That film will leave you flat out disturbed for about a week.
No Country for Old Men, the ending where Tommy Lee Jones realizes that he stands no chance against the modern day criminal.
