The whole team looked like crap. Definite hangover from the NY game. Romo was due for a bad game. Defense is a lot more of a concern. Brady had a mulligan against the Chiefs. Peyton had one or two already.

Team needs to bounce back against Chicago then go to Philly with a better effort.

Hopefully, Seattle takes the Eagles out and then the Eagles take Dallas for granted in a couple weeks.

Call it what you want, but the division is now beyond reach as a consequence.

How is the division gone? We beat Chicago Philly loses to Seattle We beat Philly that puts us at 10-4 and philly at 9-5. How is the division gone? lol

I realize that we are not mathematically eliminated from division title contention. However, we have dropped 3 of the last 5 and just got crushed by the Eagles. Do you really feel optimistic our chances in the rematch?

Really? If Seattle beats Philly and the Dallas beats Philly, what then? What if Eli pulls one out of his butt and beats the Eagles?

Dallas beats Philly... That's the part that I can't get my head around at the moment. Maybe I'll feel differently after the totality of yesterday's whooping fades a bit in my memory..

It is possible if we win most of our games and still lose to the Eagles, that we would remain a wildcard.

We swept the Giants in the regular season of 2007 yet lost to them in the post season and they went on to win the Superbowl. I remember everyone feared going up against the Giants a third time since the likelihood of beating a division rival a third straight time was supposedly unheard of.

I'm just worried that the team peaked a little to early. But hopefully they bounce back and win the next couple games.

There's been a consistent trend in our losses. People will say "Oh its because we faced a good team....". But Deadskins suck. One consistent trait of these losses is that they all got a consistent pass rush on us and we couldn't handle it. That was the story of the Deadskins, 9ers, Eagirls and Cardinals game. This team has no idea what to do when a team is blitzing them. And it makes sense because our receivers get no separation to cause any damage except Beasley and that's where his quickness comes into play.

I'm ready to see some other receivers like Harris and Street get shots. I see Street seems to be getting more playing time but his chemistry with Romo is just terrible at this point.

I think we already used a couple of mulligans up. That first game of the year against SF, that was a mulligan, stunk it up bad that day too. The game against Washington was a mulligan. Calling it a mulligan is like Jerry calling moral victories, there is no column for that.

We dug a hole for ourselves with that game last Sunday. That trick is now in the rearview mirror. Let's buck up and see what we can do to vindicate ourselves for whatever remains to be proven this year. Many things are possible. Some of them might actually be positive. Win against Chicago and our world is sunny once again.

Yup. The Eagles played about as good as they could. Dallas was flat and sloppy, they will be far better in the rematch.

I think we will be better on offense, but our D is still going to be porous.

We have faced Eagles three times in a season , at least 2 times, and beat them in number 3 both times.

One was a game where Deion scored a running TD .

The team and the coaching and the overall direction of the team looked like crap. No hangover from NY game, that game should have been won more easily if you have a good team. Good QBs aren't "due" for a bad game, they just have them from time to time. Romo needs to have a replacement on the team. No I am not saying get rid of Romo, but have a good backup. Don't wait until the man retires and then go through 4 or 5 QBs to find one good one. Find one now. Keep drafting them until one hits. The defense has ALWAYS been an issue. We need a scheme adjustment. It's time for new blood in the coaching staff, a junior guy that can offer a new view of things. The Tampa 2, even the Seattle version is easy to figure out, only through talent can you really run it. Do we have the talent? No we don't in the front 7 and the secondary is below average at best. I am not even a huge fan of Scandrick. I don't care for anyone that thinks so little of the privilege of playing in the league that they need to do drugs. I know that puts me in the minority and that all of us mess up, but I am not a fan.

As for Peyton and Brady...they have the hardware and the pelts on the walls...What does Romo have? 2nd place, best regular season guy? Or 1st place loser? I want 3 more "boring" drafts. I want the lines to be so stout that we can stop the blitz, run as a team for 2500 yards a season and on the defensive side get 60 sacks or more a season from the front 4 rotation. Just a wish, but I hope it happens. JMO

Lots of "ifs" in this statement................LOL

What we know for a fact is that Philly just curb stomped us and as a result we are now out of the playoffs.

IF we hadn't lost to the deadskins...I think we're out of the playoffs too

Again, it was Tony's worst game in years. He obviously couldn't recover from the Sunday night road game, which was the first for any team that had to play the following Thursday.
I don't think we will play that bad again.
