With Murray being just short of the record would you let him play vs the skins to achieve this record or would you sit him given the broken finger he is dealing with?

likely let him get record and judgment call after that.

I think Romo, Bryant, Murray & co. play one quarter then hit the bench. Guys already nursing injuries like Martin and McClain wont even suit up.

Sit all of them.

Following Sunday's win over the Colts, DeMarco Murray admitted his broken hand was "hurting throughout the game."
Murray predictably didn't catch a pass for the first time this season, but gutted out a 22-58-1 line on the ground. He figures to be closer to 100 percent in Week 17 if the Cowboys choose to use him. They've clinched the NFC East already, yet can get a first-round bye if they beat the Commanders and both the Cardinals and Seahawks lose. Dec 22 - 9:39 AM

well....typically I would say no way. But what Murray has done for this team this year, I think this is the rare case where I leave it up to him.

I tell him this...listen, you have earned the right to decide. You certainly deserve this record. But you aren't playing long. If you wanna take a shot at it, you can. But as soon as you get your 30 yards, you're done. Your call.

I sit him. team before individual honors. need to start preparing for the playoffs.

I love Murray and all, but I kinda want Emmitts record to stand. idk why, sentinmental reasons maybe.

I would let him get the record then pull him he deserves that record after the season he's had.

I'm all in favor of establishing the running game, but Murray has simply been ineffective the last two games. 53 carries for 139 yards.........and a 2.6-yard average.

He needs some rest and the Cowboys shouldn't insist on running him repeatedly if it's not working. If he were still churning out 4 yards per carry, then sure, keep feeding him the ball........but he's not. This is 2.6 yards per carry. He's ineffective at the moment.

Randle wasn't much better averaging 2.8 a carry yesterday. He's never averaged more than 3.4 a carry with double-digit carries. Teams have been gearing up to stop Murray and he was playing hurt yesterday protecting his hand. He wasn't able to stiff arm the way he normally does and it had to affect him. Even though the run wasn't there by forcing it the Colts had to respect it due to the success the Cowboys have had this season running it. Continuing to try and run the ball clearly helped the passing game. The Cowboys had 35 rushing attempts and it helped get something going in the passing game. Had the Cowboys simply abandoned the run and Romo attempted to air it out all day the game could have turned into a fistfight.

It shouldn't take more than a few carries to get him that record he only needs 29 yards. He had 141 yards vs Washington on only 19 carries earlier in the season so he can run on them. It wouldn't take more than 7 carries to get him that record and he'll have the rest of the game off.

Play him long enough to get the record. About 1 quarter.

For me I would let him play if he wants it since it is 29 yards, if he was needing a 100 yard game then I would not even dress him for the game. I would leave the choice to Murray and respect that decision either way

No.

Absolutely not. None of them would see the field. Romo, Dez. and especially Murray!! I would sit every starter I possibly could.....Use the game as evaluation for the second stringers and get weeden/ vaughn some time under center...

This is the Dallas Cowboys. Not the Demarco Murrays....

As great as he has been. No INDIVIDUAL comes before the TEAM. We need Murray in the playoffs....

No No No. No way. I will be real surprised if I see any of the main guys out there for even one play.

This game is meaningless...

What is the smart move here?? yeah................

he will need to practice for the game, get ready for it, play at least 10-15 plays and risk aggravating the injury
our run game has also been less productive recently likely due to other teams stacking the box and the workload murray has been getting that he is not used to.
he needs to be fresh going into the playoffs
he needs to be looking at Detroit and GB defenses this week

just my .02
