Murray is freelancing

Eberflus D gave us a chance to win. Offense is what cost us with those drops and fumbles. They dominated in the second half.
You're missing the point. What does the tape show on the LBs who played? They played like crap. Old man Eric Kendricks would have performed better based on last year's results, and you know it. Why are you covering for any coach? Just call it the way it happens when it comes to position players. The key is to always be trying to improve.

You missed the point lol. But it's all good you still the homie. We'll see when the next time we have an actual baller at lb because it's looking weak on this team right now
I got your point lol. I didn’t answer your question yeah I’d take the next Fred at 12. But if I truly felt he was the next Fred I’d trade down to get him.

I wasn’t big on Booker or any guard at 12 but if it solidifies our line as a strength? I can get behind it.

But yeah I take the next Fred at 12. I don’t know if he’s the best Fred though.

we gave up 34 and 41 points to the iggles last year. Did Michael miss both of those games, because Id say the defense was much better in this game than either of the 2last year.
I wasn't really comparing, but yeah it was a tale of two halves.

I think he missed one of the Eagle games, but I cant recall.

My main thing is I think this defense will be better when we play Liaufa, Houston and Shemar. I have no tolerance for selfish, undisciplined players. Get with the program or sit the bench.

The thing I’m having issues with with all of these posts on how we miss Micah and now Kendrick’s. These same guys were out there last year when we got our ***** whipped.

I’m not covering for any coach.

We all agreed this defense would be bad especially without Micah.

They shut down Barkley, AJ Brown and Devonta Smith.

This defense is a work in progress and full of youth. I’m giving them grace. The offense deserves grace to but it was the dropped passes that killed it.

Fowler was definitely out there wild looking for sacks even on run downs and way out of position

I saw two inside spin moves where they ran right at what was supposed to be his containment.
Its infuriating, selfish play. I can't imagine tolerating that nonsense as a coach.

im thinking an injured player returning will be very helpful. I was just happy that it seemed like our interior line looked much improved.

If the idea of trading Parsons was to build a cohesive defensive unit, then every player who freelances should be disciplined or taken off the field. Fowler was just awful There were at least 3 plays in the first half where he took himself out of the play and left a huge gap in the defense. I think Houston looked pretty good and even made a tackle for a loss because he stayed home and did his job. I think Kneeland Houston and Sam Williams will be the best combination of DEs the Cowboys have

Ezeiruaku looks overmatched. He looked like a kid going up against Mialata.
EZ did get a pressure later in the game that helped cause one of the three-and-outs.

Less Murray. More Liufau. Problem solved.
I'm pretty sure that Matt Eberflues is not playing favorites this was game one he made his choice He'll look at film they'll break everything down and I'm betting he'll make adjustments for the next game I don't know what those will be and then down the road Overstone will come back and maybe we'll see Sanborn in true middle linebacker form being on the field a lot but the other two guys will be Overshown in Liafhu but I'm thinking he has to take the time to see what he has and doesn't have...

I mean that is what coaches do They made a decision on the game plan and the roster and now they'll see if they made any mistakes and they'll adjust them but maybe they're going to see something different than what we're seeing I'm not denying that Murray didn't have a good game and maybe he needs to be moved to a outside linebacker but a primary backup pass rusher he might be better coming off the edge.. Tell him on 3rd and 12 just go get the quarterback he has that kind of talent...

Again we're all guessing I mean we're not experts in here I don't want to keep bringing this up Whatever you saw they will see but whatever reason they had for bringing that line up to the game I'm sure it was for a good reason..

Let's just hope there is no ego involved here and they'll put the best players each week on the field as they see it week to week on film..

By the way I don't think Brian Schottenheimer had any weird underlying reasons for saying that Liafu has to earn his snaps I don't think that came out right I think he meant they'll watch the film and realize he will get more snaps....

Sounded like they were gonna make him earn his play which all players have to do anyway but I don't think in this case that was his reasoning for that statement I believe it's too soon they haven't even watched a film yet he's saying that if they see that he's a better option he'll definitely get his day..

You all know from last year the man can play side to side he's aggressive he goes after guys and he punches the ball so I hope he gets more snaps because there had to been a good reason he didn't make the starting lineup against the Eagles and maybe they were just going with experience.....

Yes, and on both sides of the ball.

I think when we get our rotation dialed in and guys are more scheme comfortable, plus getting back Overshown this defense will hold its own.

When has that been the case though? They literally dnp Mazi lol.
Have you followed this team? Mazi for one game so far wasn't active. They didn't drop him and that's part of the problem. How about last year and the year before with Mazi playing and stinking? How about Zeke being handed the starting job last year when he clearly was horrible and not the most deserving RB on the team? How about Guyton because he was a 1st rounder not being benched until he was injured even though he was horrible last year? How about every other player that wasn't cut and still given snaps over the years like Trystan Hill. How about Donovan Wilson playing in pure passing situations where he struggles badly. Did you miss the part about the "new culture" and hoping it changes? Liufau at the end of last year played way better than Murray did. Murray played every single snap and Liufau played 6.

So there is "the case"

Not sure what version we’ll get but I am hoping week 5 brings a improvement to our LB corp in overshown

Ezeiruaku is listed at 6'2", 248 lbs. People talked about Micah being to small for the position but he looks bigger than Ezeiruaku. Going up against tackles that are 6'6" or taller and over 300 lbs is asking a lot of the rookie.
Yeah I had to look him up awhile back because I thought the same. He could probably use another off season of NFL strength and conditioning.

Listening to Nate Newton this morning and one point he made was Kenneth Murray may need to be taken off the field. He was frequently out of position and not following assignments. Nate pointed out Murray plays like hes alone, and knocked Sanborn off of his spots several times.

The other player Nate singled out was Fowler. He said Fowler also played undisciplined and it allowed Hurts a lot of his running lanes.

Micha is gone. There are no more super star heros on this defense. We cant afford to have guys doing their own thing. Micha could pull it off because his talent is off the charts and he'd often make a game changing play. These two guys aren't even close.

I hope our coaches take notice and we see a lot more from guys like Liaufa and Houston. Id also like to see Shemar James active. He needs time but from what I saw in preseason is the type of player who's always around the ball.

Please share your thoughts. Lol (Coug)
This was a problem last yr, including with Parsons, too many playing hero ball rather then just doing their job
