Murray is freelancing

It will for a quarter two until his fragile a** gets injured again.
I hope not but you make a valid point. Dallas should prioritize LB in draft or FA and not the scraps from the trash heap like they did with Murray and sandborn

This was a problem last yr, including with Parsons, too many playing hero ball rather then just doing their job
Yes and also maybe a byproduct of Jerry's constant one year "prove it" deals.

Micah was frequently abused in the running game the same way the Eagles schemed Fowler. Both players will at times over commit because the have great burst off the snap. That is why I would limit the run downs Fowler plays.
I was surprised at some of the down and distance situations he played in. Almost feels like the starter.

I think this game was about going with the most experienced guys. Hopefully they get over that quickly

I don’t understand why our DC didn’t put a spy on Hurts. Just stick our fastest guy who can tackle in middle of the D to watch him until he lets go of the ball.
Yeah that disturbed me. I’ve read similar stubbornness in Chicago too.

I'm pretty sure that Matt Eberflues is not playing favorites this was game one he made his choice He'll look at film they'll break everything down and I'm betting he'll make adjustments for the next game I don't know what those will be and then down the road Overstone will come back and maybe we'll see Sanborn in true middle linebacker form being on the field a lot but the other two guys will be Overshown in Liafhu but I'm thinking he has to take the time to see what he has and doesn't have...

I mean that is what coaches do They made a decision on the game plan and the roster and now they'll see if they made any mistakes and they'll adjust them but maybe they're going to see something different than what we're seeing I'm not denying that Murray didn't have a good game and maybe he needs to be moved to a outside linebacker but a primary backup pass rusher he might be better coming off the edge.. Tell him on 3rd and 12 just go get the quarterback he has that kind of talent...

Again we're all guessing I mean we're not experts in here I don't want to keep bringing this up Whatever you saw they will see but whatever reason they had for bringing that line up to the game I'm sure it was for a good reason..

Let's just hope there is no ego involved here and they'll put the best players each week on the field as they see it week to week on film..

By the way I don't think Brian Schottenheimer had any weird underlying reasons for saying that Liafu has to earn his snaps I don't think that came out right I think he meant they'll watch the film and realize he will get more snaps....

Sounded like they were gonna make him earn his play which all players have to do anyway but I don't think in this case that was his reasoning for that statement I believe it's too soon they haven't even watched a film yet he's saying that if they see that he's a better option he'll definitely get his day..

You all know from last year the man can play side to side he's aggressive he goes after guys and he punches the ball so I hope he gets more snaps because there had to been a good reason he didn't make the starting lineup against the Eagles and maybe they were just going with experience.....
Chicago Bears fans totally disagree with you. They are glad Eberflus is long gone.

Premature to say that. He's had two catastrophic injuries back to back but doesn't seem to be the kind of player who always has nagging injuries that caused him to miss a lot of time in college. Too early to dub him Sean Lee 2.0 or anything like that.

He prefers playing zone defense, specifically Cover 3, so his players were in their zone assignments. When the ends (specifically Fowler) did a poor job of containing Hurts, everyone had to shift to chase mode and Hurts is a hard player to catch when you do that.

After the delay, he switched to bringing some pressure from the outside to keep Hurts in the pocket. I don't believe he spied Hurts then, either, but the outside rusher provided the contain we weren't getting from a couple of our ends. I think we also played Kneeland more and he did a much better job of maintaining integrity instead of giving it up to try to get pressure.

Yeah I had to look him up awhile back because I thought the same. He could probably use another off season of NFL strength and conditioning.
He needs to gain 10 to 15 lbs of muscle.

Eberflus D gave us a chance to win. Offense is what cost us with those drops and fumbles. They dominated in the second half.
The 3rd down defensive alignment when Hurts ran for a 1st down to end the game was ridiculous. How does Eberflus have our 2 safeties 12 yards off the ball!!!!!! Our CB’s had played awesome in coverage. They should have played man to man with the safeties sneaking into the box at the snap. 1 or both safeties spy Hurts. Maybe 1 blitzes.

Hurts had been killing us running the ball all game. Like Belichick used to do: Never let a team beat you with their best play!!!!!!!

I think Murray was a solid get for the Cowboys but maybe he shouldn't be the mic

I asked the question: Who is the LEADER on defense?

It was generally seen as Demarcus Lawrence, but he's gone.

Micah was a big presence, but not really the "leader" out there.

Hoping that Kenny Clark step sup, but the defense needs a legit leader OR for Eberflus to step up and be tough on these guys

Yeah my brother-in-law (Titans fan) watched the game with me Thursday night. He was telling me "Good luck with Murray. He sucks". lol
