Jerry has 3 rings guys deal with it. you can discredit him all you like but it is his franchise and Jimmy did not hire himself nor did Barry. Jimmy never signed a single player Emmitt and Mike were the highest paid because Jerry stepped up to the plate and got the deals done.

Forgive my cynicism, but I have a hard time believing most wealthy people are going to end up behind bars any more. They can afford attorneys who seem to create the reasonable doubt too easily.

Point taken. I agree with you....

Just that AP coming is that I don't fully agree because there are many unknown factors involved. Something I'll believe when I see it.

We really should fix these titles when they say something is fact when it really is just rumor...even if it's a strong rumor.

Not cynicism, merely observant of a tiered system of justice. More money - more 'justice'.

If Murray had a history of injury-free 300-carry seasons, I'd agree that 4/16 is a low ball offer, but we're talking about five games behind the best OL in football. I love Murray and want to see him back in Dallas next year, but the team needs to be sensible about this. If Murray plays 11 more games like he's played the first five, he'll get what he deserves, most probably from the Cowboys.

It's interesting to see how folks scream at Jerry for doling out big contracts and then scream at Jerry when he doesn't.

Murray played 14 last season went over a 1000 with 10 TD, injuries happen they happen to many of the top backs.

Oh boy, here he goes.

We/fans do t have to "deal" with anything.
Jerry had taken the reigns and we are almost 20 years removed from last Super Bowl win.
If not for selling his soul to devil... We would be over 20 years by now.

But I digress.

I think he he has renegotiating the terms of his 1995 sale. Kind of like refinancing to get ... You take and you pay and repay more....later!

Lol

Maybe Jerry is hoping Murray will pull a Tyron and defy his agent.

Tyron did not get cheated that is for sure
News came down Wednesday morning that Smith had agreed to an eight-year extension worth roughly $97.6 million. Coupled with the two years and $10 million already on his rookie deal, it’s worth a grand total of $109 million.

About $40 million of Smith’s contract is guaranteed, and it comes with a $10 million signing bonus. The contract averages out to roughly $12.2 million per year

What it is his team Jimmy did not hire himself that is pure fact. People laughed at Jerry for hiring Jimmy to begin with but hey Jerry had nothing to do with it. lol

Isn't Murry going to be a RFA after this season? If so, I'd be just as happy to have them wait, and not commit yet another cap-crippling contract to a player with 3/4 of a season left.

I suppose it depends on what you mean by "cheated". He agreed to the contract with a full understanding of what it entailed, and he's certainly going to be a very rich man, so in that sense sure, he didn't get cheated. But he did accept an incredibly team-friendly deal. Ten years of team control with just $40M guaranteed? I still can't believe he agreed to that.

and I'm sure Murray would like the same, I think a deal making an avg of 12 mill a year is a pretty damn good contract. I would guess that would pay him around the top 5 OT in the league. I think Murray should be looking at a top 5 contract as well.

Pure fact!

We were a dominating FORCE "with" Jimmy.
Jimmy could guarantee win. Players believed him. We believed him. I believed him.

We have been a FARCE "with"Jerry leading.

All facts!

Jerry only leads when things go bad, I have no doubt if this team gets turned around and wins he will no longer have nothing to do with it. Kind of like draft picks all bust are Jerry and all quality picks were someone else.

Personally, I don't want him. I never want a RB on the other side of 30. I'd prefer we keep Murray. But Peterson may give us a hometown deal and regardless of his age that cat is one scary RB to deal with. It would be a short term solution to not paying Murray a ridiculous deal, but it is just that, a solution.

Here's a question.

Would you pay DeMarco Murray more than Jamaal Charles?

I wouldn't.

How about Matt Forte?
