He should have signed in Oakland if it was just about the money. I think he wanted to stick it the the front office.

Whether you want to accept it or not, the eagles have a better shot at winning....anything than the raiders do. I truly believe winning was part of his decision making as well.

It comes naturally for me. I hate him and I hope his career flames out in Philly. This billboard means nothing to me. You are the enemy. I don't want a thank you card from someone sleeping with my ex-wife.

I don't understand this line of thinking. I mean I understand the part of hoping his career flames out. What I don't get is why you blame him for signing to a team that wanted him? Shouldn't you be upset with the Cowboys?

I guess that's my thing. I think there's life after Demarco here and while I loved him here I have no problem with him even going to a enemy. Sure i'll boo him but it would've hurt worse if we lost a bidding war to a rival. A rival signed a player we didn't want.

And you consider the Eagirls your ex-wife? You use to be a Eagirl fan?

Right. THen we'd complain it was all about the money with Demarco. Why on earth would he go to a career killer like the Raiders? You go there when you're 30 not 27 lol.

So you would have left all that money on the table?
I doubt many would but stating he took the money to take care of his family is unnecessary. Any player could take care of their family with the contract Dallas offered and/or the contract Philadelphia provided for Murray.

You HAD to mention Owens didn't ya?:p

They (e.g. the players) should squash that "feeding their family" noise. Players (in all team sports) lucky enough in becoming professional athletes annually represent less than 3% of those who played at the college level. Many are fortunate enough to land on a team with an opportunity to play for a six-figure income. Those, like Murray, who are fortunate enough to net a much higher contract sometime during their career should be thankful of the additional opportunity they worked so hard for. However, saying they're feeding their family is really disingenious when accounting for the fact they could do so for less--which is often much more than a large portion of the population can say.

Demarco can feel snubbed by the Cowboys, but he wouldn't have gotten that juicy deal if it wasn't for that historic workload, which wasn't there in previous years. It was a case of you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. At the end of the day he's an Eagle, not expecting hate is just naive on his part. And just when he thinks Dallas fans are harsh, wait until he gets booed by Philly jerks, billboards won't prevent that.

I think that Demarco Murray going the extra mile to say thank you to the Cowboys' fans, is stand up and shouldn't be demeaned by an unappreciative group of fans who but three years ago were wanting to collect funds for a bill board demeaning Jerry Jones.

This was a class act, plain and simple...and a fan with sportsmanship can see just that.
I have trouble reading the majority of your posts, but you couldn't have worded this any better. Take this like

All true. I would give my left you know what to have been in the NHL.
But it's not like Murray is feeding his family What A Burgers. ducks from Bob.

Murray's a good guy. He did what ANY NFL player would do in the same situation, and that's take the big pay day while he still can. He's a RB, and this was his last opportunity to get paid. It was the right move. Yea, it sucks it had to be Philly, but that's the team that was willing to pay him. He was nothing but classy in Dallas (as shown here), and was always professional, on and off the field. There's no reason to hate the man. Best of luck to him (except when he plays Dallas, of course).

Guy handled everything as well as you could expect. It's just unfortunate that Philly was the only decent team that showed legitimate interest.
