Was my comment vague?

I was hoping it was, otherwise you're just dense. He's no longer a Cowboy and as an Eagle will be doing everything in his power to make sure the Cowboys don't win the division.

He is not a Cowboy, regardless or whether of not he is in your little heart.

You HAD to mention Owens didn't ya?:p

They (e.g. the players) should squash that "feeding their family" noise. Players (in all team sports) lucky enough in becoming professional athletes annually represent less than 3% of those who played at the college level. Many are fortunate enough to land on a team with an opportunity to play for a six-figure income. Those, like Murray, who are fortunate enough to net a much higher contract sometime during their career should be thankful of the additional opportunity they worked so hard for. However, saying they're feeding their family is really disingenious when accounting for the fact they could do so for less--which is often much more than a large portion of the population can say.

Unless they are stealing it, the very few who are wildly talented and successful should never have to apologize for the money they are making. I'm pretty sure that YOU wouldn't.

Demarco earned every penny of his new contract - and we are certainly fortunate that he earned that contract while playing for OUR team. Thank you #29 for your excellent play while you were a Dallas Cowboy!

With that said - I am now duty-bound to rout against you and your new teammates every gameday for the foreseeable future (nothing personal mind you). :)

I really don't want to get into all that stuff, but there were damning texts being shown on the internet.
He may not have done the deed, but I fully believe the woman was cheating on that guy.

The retraction didn't feel fully honest to me, but that's nothing more than a feeling.

C'mon Corso, you're a lawyer for cripes sake. Your whole working life is evidence-based. ;)

I don't need to justify my position to you. But than ks for the name calling.

I'm moving this to the NFL Zone and I remind you all that this is a civil board.

It was widely reported that Murray reached out first, but whether he did or did not, he absolutely said in his pc that it wasn't about money it was about trying to win a super bowl.. which is a cheap shot at us, as if we don't have a better chance of winning a SB here.

This cracks me up. Murray wanted to stay in Dallas. Dallas didn't want Murray at the offer he received from Philly.
What exactly was he supposed to say? Fans think it's a shot. I doubt any one on the team did or any coaches or any one in management.
They understand the business aspect of it. Fans take it as an insult.
According to most fans here he sucked any way. It was all the offensive line that allowed Murray to gain the yards he did.
So why does any one care what he says?

Ha ha ha! I ain't not no lawyer! I do have one on call though.
That "on call" term is a bit misleading... I have a lawyer that ignores my calls...

Much better.

Well, silly me. I made an assumption based upon your avatar and Hunter Thompson sig line. So you're NOT a lawyer? Great! Now I can move my wallet back from my breast pocket to my back pocket. Whew... false alarm.

Why should Murray apologize? I never stated that Murray should apologize for any income he has worked for. I said it was unnecessary for players who have already secured large incomes to make disingenuous statements about feeding their family. Some do find it necessary for some reason in saying so. The some do not compose those baseline players each season, barely making team rosters, signing low five figure contracts, contracts that barely supplement their other income outside of football, with hope and dreams of landing a spot on the practice squad, etc. Those are the players who can rightly say they are just trying to "feed their family."

May I ask a question? And forget about the question originating from a professional football perspective for a moment. Does it make sense for anyone already banking six-, seven- or eight-figures a year to either insinuate or flat out say they are struggling to prosper well enough to provide for their families?

So much drama over a man getting a pay increase.

90+% of NFL players are not playing for the team they grew up loving. Hell, probably 50-60+% aren't on the team they were drafted by (that is just based on how long guys play in the NFL and free agency).

It is a business. I would however feel slighted if I bust my butt for a team for years and they didn't think I was worth the extra money after a career season.
It wasn't really about money, it was about market value and respect.

Sometimes you pay your guys more...because they are your guys also.
