I have to admit that was the classiest move I've ever seen by a former Cowboy. It's a shame he had to go. I will always pull for the man except when he's playing the Cowboys.
Everybody is sayin' how bad Jerry is and why he didn't bring back Murray.
But why didn't Murray just take Jerry's 6 mil/year rather than take 8 mil/year with the Eagles? He would still be a Cowboy.
You just don't turn sides to be with the enemy and talk about the dicision was based on to get the best opportunity to win a super bowl.
He is the enemy now and he can put up as many billboards he like that won't change it.

Because two million a year is allot of money on your shot at your big contract?
Yes, but wouldn't you take less money to be with your friends and try do get to the big dance together?
It just doesn't stick right with me to go to the enemy just for more money. He would have bin rich with the Cowboys, too.
Nope, he's getting one big offer, I'm sure he will remain friends with they guys he really cared about and what guarantee does any one have the Cowboys are going to win the SB? I think they stand a better chance, especially after the Hardy signing but that still doesn't guarantee
any thing.
Yes but Murray could have done his part to help the Cowboys to get there.

Classy move on his part.
Not sure if this has been posted, but just thought I'd share
I think that Demarco Murray going the extra mile to say thank you to the Cowboys' fans, is stand up and shouldn't be demeaned by an unappreciative group of fans who but three years ago were wanting to collect funds for a bill board demeaning Jerry Jones.
This was a class act, plain and simple...and a fan with sportsmanship can see just that.
One of the classiest guys thats ever been a Cowboy.
Thankfully we have a wife-beater taking his place with the cap
Surprisingly no one has posted a valid link to any of that. Kelly himself said the Eagles called Murray.
It was widely reported that Murray reached out first, but whether he did or did not, he absolutely said in his pc that it wasn't about money it was about trying to win a super bowl.. which is a cheap shot at us, as if we don't have a better chance of winning a SB here.
Actually. . . It was simply him saying what he had to say to avoid alienating his new teammates. I can't believe I'm explaining this.
When Irvin went down in Philly and it was revealed he would not come back, I felt gut shot.
When I heard Murray was signed away, I had a similar feeling.
I seldom get completely attached to players, but I liked Murray from the beginning.
No matter what uniform he wears, I will always think of him as a Cowboy.
