Classy move on his part.

Not sure if this has been posted, but just thought I'd share

Thanks for the share.

And you're right..............C.L.A.S.S.Y.

He was a Dallas Cowboy FIRST.

So you would have left all that money on the table?

He would have made $20M+ playing for us. That is more than enough money add the chance to play with the guys you love and team you want to play for? Easy call.

That could have been the number, but it also could have been a deal that couldn't have paid him that much. It's obvious he took the best of the two deals.

I think he does regret it, but he did what's best for him and his family.

Regret would mean if he could redo it he would sign with cowboys.

That's not the case. It was about money. Cowboys guaranteed high payout wasn't an option.

I am good with that.

Can't hate on Murray. He had to get his money, especially with the position he's playing and their shelf life. Wish he didn't go to the Eagles, but if they paid up, then that's what it is.

Yea..the classy thing kind of goes out the window a bit when you reach out to your former team's hated division rival to try and sign there and then state in your pc that it wasn't about money, it was about the best chance to win a super bowl.. implying that the eagles have a better chance than the cowboys. That's some bs..

Surprisingly no one has posted a valid link to any of that. Kelly himself said the Eagles called Murray.

My gut feeling from the beginning was that he really didn't want to leave, not even with the added pay.

Everybody in his inner circle--agent and family included--probably would have called him a chump if he had turned down philly to stay here for substantially less. We'll never know how everything went down, but I can imagine there would be a lot of pressure to accept a deal like that.

Murray was a classy guy and I'll miss him. Saying that, I'll root against him next year. He's an eagle now and will be treated as such. I'll reexamine my feelings for him after he retires. Thanks for the memories DeMarco because last year was special.

Hopefully the Eagles will prove to be dumb for signing him, Chip will get fired, and he will be released 2 years from now to find his way back to Dallas where Jason will have open arms, and Jerry will have an open checkbook.
