Murray will be too expensive to keep

Besides Romo, Murray is the player that I really want to see healthy the whole season. He plays all 16 games and we may get a 17th.

With that being said, though, I do not think it would be wise to resign him. He'll command way too much.

Frank Gore makes 6.5 million a year, but is a lot older than Murray.

Only $13M of his $25.9M over 4 years was guaranteed. It's a reasonable contract given the current CBA and projected increases to the salary cap.

Adrian Peterson - 13 million
Jamaal Charles - 9 million
LeSean McCoy - 9 million
Arian Foster - 8.7 million
DeAngelo Williams - 8.6 million
Matt Forte - 7.6 million
Marshawn Lynch - 7.5 million (holding out for more money)
Jonathan Stewart - 7.3 million
Ray Rice - 7 million
Frank Gore - 6.4 million
CJ Spiller - 5 million
Trent Richardson - 5 million
Ryan Mathews - 4.7 million
Fred Jackson - 4.35 million
Reggie Bush - 4 million
Steven Jackson - 4 million

Every one of those guys down to Frank Gore is grossly overpaid except AP.

Guess what, running backs are still getting overpaid... And Murray will probably not be any different, which is my entire point...

My kingdom for someone who can read and comprehend...

Don't look for a savior, based upon that grouped assumptions, it won't be long standing from the start.

Research the past three years in the market for those same running backs, not an unsubstantiated claim around other positions. A generalization in NFL contracts doesn't cross apply as to the position.

Replacement price for a running back is much more convenient, and wear in today's NFL, as a group, is bringing down longevity as well...cross check some of those numbers.

Now list the contract levels of the running backs in free agency and the now average pay being received as compared to previous years...another two. More than three seasons don't apply for comparison in today's short turn-around NFL.

No, the repost was relevant...but it doesn't mark what just went down in free agency and why so many are saying that positional pay for the group, has gone down.

Marshawn Lynch is reporting to camp now...why? Did he get a penny more than the team originally offered?

Name me one top 10 running back in the league under the age of 30 who signed a contract for less than 6 million per year.

You are avoiding issues...

1. Proven records beyond a single season being involved
2. Two previous seasons of injury marred play that did not even make it into top ten play

Reconcile that, or answer the other questions presented...

You simply argue for an argument's sake...fail.

The fail is that you know that you're wrong...

Again name me one player who is a top 10 running back who signed for less than 6 million per year, find me any of them... it doesn't happen as someone will pay them.

Recheck your jump through the hoop, scoop...you missed something, (coughing)

Nothing has changed in your original stance, despite a variety of reasoning being added...sorry, attitude doesn't carry the field. And a line drawn in the dirt doesn't apply outside of the Alamo...but do your own effort at least in consideration and facts given back to you.

You merely supply an agitating attitude...and a repost.
