I have no idea what to expect this week. None. I am hoping we get a W, and get some momentum and have a chance to at least get a few more before Romo returns..

But , to be as objective as I possibly can be; which is really hard for me, cuz i love me some cowboys.

Im looking at this team and it smells of desperation. They are a desperate team; They needed a miracle for one of the Ws they have, And they havent looked all that great 5 games into the season. They look exactly like those dreaded 8-8 teams and I feel like thats what we have gone back to.

There is hope in Hardy Mcclain Gregory; Romo and Dez. all coming back... But when will that hope be realized?

Probably too late. I think we lose this one and the next 2-3 . And that will be that. Then run off 6 striaght wins and go into the offseason feeling good about.............................................next season.

The goal , for me at least, is the Super Bowl. But, the franchise is doing well financially, the NFL has no complaints....it all makes for "good feelings" for other fan bases around the league to see the Cowboys "out of it". There is no real reason to change things.

Even some Cowboys fans go ahead and accept it all. In fact most of them do. I get it. Im buying tickets and merchandise to. Watching the games.....

its been a little bit of a rough patch...................for the last 20 odd years! Super Bowl is reserved for the other franchises....

the loss o f murray is hurting this team it has no running game so yes its now all on romo then no romo so yes we are headed back to 8 and 8 or worse the gm and his son started all this super bowl talk in the offseason knowing that was not going to be the case they have tickets to sell and money to make that's there bottom line all every body did was praise them for the offseason well they don't give championships during the offseason they cant runt he ball during the whole game that left with murray so now yes its back to 8 and 8 and the coaching is not very good either. they should of kept murray what they did was a huge mistake

The thing about Seattle is that their (lack of) offense will keep you in the game. So, that's a good thing for us. The bad thing is that their defense can make QBs who aren't very good look REALLY bad.

If we had Romo, I'd be pretty confident in that Seattle game. Without him though? I dunno.

Hope Cassel can be the man till Romo gets back, we get a preview of events to come this Sunday .

I will panic if and when we lose 7 games..

Good outlook! I don't have the same mentality. I get enraged, upset, annoyed, panicked, ( insert any negative emotion) when we lose one game. It's a disease I want the Cowboys to win every freaking game, and here's the twisted part. I either want them to blow the opponent out like by 21 pts or more, shut them out- goose egg for the opposition, or steal the win with the last couple seconds - break their hearts.

In summary I want them to demoralize with a blowout, demoralize with a shut out, or heart break w last moment td, and after a Cowboys win I flip the chanels in hopes of seeing a bunch of media types eat crow. So delicious

they have to be able to run the ball and score points if they don't do that they lose just like the last three

Without the run game they are that same team that went 8-8 for 3 years in a row.

Then with tony out and weeden it went from mediocre to really bad.

The 12-4 team walked out the door with murray (& Callahan), but he wasnt worth the money ! lol
Even in 1st 2 games with tony, the run game was not as good, so this is all on the FO for not getting murray signed.
And they could have sweet talked Mr C. and offered him 7 mil a year , 1 more than jg lol and he would have stayed too.

Then all they have to do is same as last year only better.
But the FO let 2 people go they thought they didnt need, and it has bit them in the _____.

I also think Dallas needs to win at least 2 of next 4, and preferably 3 of 4, that way tony would need to win 5 of 7, which is about the best you
should hope for there
. he isnt going to come back and go 7-0 or 6-1, when has dallas ever finished that strong ?

I don't like the term must win because if we lose does it mean we give up the season?

Technically only an elimination game is really a "must win" you literally must win to prolong your season. But a non stickler definition of "must win" would encompass games that are merely extremely important to win. If the Cowboys lose to the Giants they have Seattle the following week and I can't see the team staying in the playoff race through Dec if they start the season 2-5. The way the division is going it may only take 8-9 wins to win it so that benefits the Cowboys situation but with 11 games left they're going to have to win at least 6-7 games and that's not going to be easy with Romo out at least the next 4 games. If the Cowboys drop the Giants game I believe they'll lose to Seattle and I can't see them recovering from 2-5 with Romo out at least another 2 games. If the team is going to come out of this 3 game tailspin it has to start with the Giants or this is going to be a long season.

With the QB situation running the ball is a must because the Cowboys can't be asking a journeymen QB who's only been with the team 5 weeks to put the ball up 40+ times and win us some games. If the running game remains inconsistent and we continue having trouble keeping the offense on the field the defense is going to continue wearing down in the second half of games.

The D Line is the key to this game. Get to Eli early and often.Have him running scared the entire game.

The Cowboys have had a lot of trouble getting to Eli throughout his career they've only sacked him 3 times in his last 109 passing attempts. It's allowing him to get comfortable in the pocket that's hurt the Cowboys in some big games against the Giants. If we want to have any chance of forcing him into some turnovers the defense has to get pressure on him or he'll have a big day.

Of course the Cowboys have never had the Kraken rushing him before. Their O line was better when we had Ware. It's still in re-build mode right now.

I realize this isn't a literal "must win" situation, considering it's mathematically possible that we could still go 12-4 if we lose Sunday. Realistically speaking, it's as close to a must win as you can get. Losing four in a row, especially after coming off our bye, would be disasterous and hard to regroup. This team needs a win desperately, especially cosidering our next few opponents. Beating the Giants doesn't garantee us anything, but losing the game would make it very tough to make the playoffs. The bottom line is we HAVE to win Sunday. I think we will.

This is as MUST WIN game as they will get without Romo at the helm...if they fall to 2-4 this season could be in the tanks.... historical odds of making the playoffs drop to 1-in-14.... only six teams in the last 13 years made the playoffs after starting 2-4. Then add to the fact, they have Seattle and Philly coming to town.... the NYG know they can practically knock a division rival out of the playoff hunt with a win.

A 2-4 Cowboys team facing the Seahawks, and Eagles.....is not a path to the playoffs.....Make no bones about it....this is a MUST WIN game for the Cowboys.

We'll see how it goes with Hardy and Gregory. Have to also contain the run the Cowboys defense got gashed on the Giants final drive in the opener. The defense has got to step up and play 4 quarters.

ok it isnt a must win, but it is a win they need very badly.
losing 4 in a row will affect the players mentally, I think it already has, and that is why they changed to cassel, to give the players
some hope.
It is a big game for both teams, they dont really like each other, and cowboys have beat them what 5 in a row?
The giants want to beat the cowboys badly.

Another thing is for cassel starting his first game, I think it is better it is in NY, I think in front of a home crowd he would be more nervous.
Now JG starting randle over CM, I dont get this at all, CM might help jump start the offense, and if he didnt go back to randle in 2nd half.

So not a must win, but it is a huge game both teams need to win for many reasons.
I am afraid we see the same ol JG offense though and that wont help win this game.

8-8, more likely 9-7 may win the east so every loss makes the hill steeper when Romo and Dez return. The time for everyone else to step up is now!
