I don't think a defensive player will ever win it. QB's play too big a role in teams winning or losing. I think the voting is about right. Rodgers deserved the MVP. Romo and Murray wouldn't have done whay they did without an amazing offensive line that provided huge holes and all day to throw. Rodgers did so well in several games they had to pull him out early.

Hopefully, Rodgers remembered to thank the Bears for his MVP as I'm fairly convinced their horrid defense is the reason for it.

Still, for Murray and Romo to even get MVP votes is a pretty awesome accomplishment. Only a very small handful of Cowboy players in history have gotten even a vote.

Romo should have been given the nod. If not Romo, then for sure it should have gone to Watt.

If a QB can have the kind of performance Romo had this season and still only get a fourth place standing, then Romo will never ever sniff an MVP award. That's sad.

This line of incorrect thinking is the other reason Rodgers won the MVP, the silly idea that Rodgers does not play with good players when in fact he has the most loaded offense in the entire league. I think the PFF rankings said that Rodgers had 2 elite guards, 2 elite receivers and an elite RB. By comparison, we only had 4 elite players. Even if you don't like PFF, there are plenty of other metrics out there that show that the Packers offensive roster is easily in the Cowboys class, if not better.

Again you mean. A defensive player has already won it.

Watt shouldn't have gotten it. Over half of that guys sacks were against Tennessee and Jacksonville. I'm not rewarding a guy for producing against sorry teams.

Watch a Texans game. He is far and away the best player on the field every time he steps out there, including when he played us.
