MW3 for XBox 360

This game is a downer.

Basically a MW2 remake with cramped maps that seem to always grab you and hang you up on corners. You can't get around teammates so anytime theres more than one person in an area your basically bumping ***** and getting stuck on one another.

There's a couple guns worth playing with, as always. Until you get those, you're pretty much a free kill to anyone who has them.

Lag. Lag. Lag.

Oh, and did I mention the people who find ways to go underneath the maps and have free reign to do whatever they want without being shot at. That was especially fun to play against.

There might be 5 maps in the playlist......maybe. Don't worry, instead of using all the maps we'll just get offered another 4 maps to constantly play in the download pack here soon.

Honestly, I liked MW2 and I like MW3 better than BO but the support and experience of BO is just way above the MW series.

Unless this game gets some fixes in place, it'll be collecting dust here soon. I quit playing Modded Warfare 2 because I had to play against a guy who basically had an autofire AC130 and was flying around the map just destroying anything that moved.

Have you had any issues with mic static? I have the PS3 and there are tons of issues with mic static and digital noise. Hoping there is a patch soon because you can't play as a team if you can't communicate

No. I usually play while in an XBOX Live party so I can talk to friends who aren't playing the same game and so I don't have to hear 5 year old in the game.

I've played the COD stuff for a long time. I also played the hell out of BF2 on PC. MW3 is a map pack (360). Disappointing. I didn't care for Black Ops, it didn't have the feel that MW2 had. MW3 gives you the MW2 feel back but its basically a map pack. Infinity Ward is great IMO but this looks like they just sat around and changed a few things and that was it.

BF3 on PC is they way to go if you want realism, great graphics and team based strategy plodding across large maps. MW3 is run and gun and fun.

BF3 is an experience, MW3 is a video game.

I'm sorry but I think you guys are just flat crazy.


The maps are fantastic. I love them. They are great for run and gun, sniping, or campers. I've been successful with all three types. I love it.

There are a couple of maps i'm not fond of, as is usually the case with all COD games, but I haven't had a single one that I just absolutely hate. Which, in all the other COD games i've played (those being COD4, MW2, and Black Ops) there has always been a couple maps in each game that I just despised.


The guns are all pretty solid in this game. The only ones that I feel have been OP so far are the shotguns and the PP90M1.

The Shotguns would be fine, up close, the way they are but with the way they've made it they already have far too great a range and then when you stick the range profiency on them it's just stupid how far away someone can get a 1 shot kill with them.

The PP90M1, which I'll admit i love using, especially with rapid fire and extended mags (though it's also quite nice with a silencer as well), has far too effective a range for a SMG. I've killed folks at a pretty good distance with it just as easily, and effectively, as I have with an ACR or Scar or UMP.


BTW....UMP with rapid fire and silencer....pretty deadly.



My favorite guns right now are the ACR, UMP, SCAR, Type 95, PP90M1, and of course the MK14.

That MK14 with rapid fire (no it doesn't make it assualt rifle, just basically fires two bullets every time you pull the trigger) and marksman is an absolute bad *** gun!



Anyway I'm loving this game. I like it better than Black Ops already, and I loved Black Ops, and I'm starting to like it as much, if not more, than MW2.

I still had, and continue to have, the most fun playing COD4. I still think it's the best.

The more I play MW3, the more I just get frustrated with how lackluster the game is.

It might as well be a demo version of the game there are so many stupid bugs in the game.

The spawn system is easily the worst spawn system I have ever seen. Ever.

And I have spawned on a flag in BF3 right in front of the opponent, only to be knifed.

I have been killed within a second of spawning a few times in BF3 but their spawn system is still superior to MW3's......largely because I'm not forced to spawn into a death no matter what.

The "Revenge" system is just a joke. The game is actually programmed to spawn the guy you just killed as close as possible to you in order to let him come right back and kill you. I am not even exaggerating, the game is programmed to do it.

I was playing last night and ran by a spot seeing no one. I was stabbed a second or two later and could only wonder, "where the hell did that guy come from"?

On the Kill Cam, I see that just as I had passed this certain point a guy spawns looking right at me, watching me run off. All he had to do was run up on me and knife me.

I have never played a game and had to actually watch the Kill Cam just to see where the guy came from. Did I just overlook him or what and most of the time the person has spawned feet from me and gets a free shot at my back.

I cannot even tell you how many times I have killed a guy and then gotten killed immediately after. Upon watching the Kill Cam, I see MY GUY kill a guy only for that guy to respawn and kill me. All in the span of a kill cam. That's like 4 seconds. When you see from their perspective your own character kill them and then they respawn and immediately kill you, the game is flawed.

I mean, just look at this.

These aren't rare occurrences, either. They're EVERY SINGLE GAME. I'd bet if you took the time to watch the kill cams of every death in every game, you'd find someone that is killed by a person who spawned within 3 seconds of killing them.

MW3 is worse than MW2 and it isn't even close. If the developers of MW2 had actually maintained their game, I'd probably still be playing it. I thought it was great until I got modded.

You can sum this game up pretty easily. Spawn, get a kill and die. Spawn, get a kill and die. If you're lucky enough to get a spawn that isn't in the middle of an occurring firefight, you might get a couple kills in a row before dying. There are maybe 3 maps that are legitimately playable.

If it weren't for the fact that I want to play their Spec Ops missions, I'd probably have sent this game to Amazon for credit.

It is that bad.

I've never seen a game so shoddily put together in my life. It's almost like Activision was content with turning a larger profit by ripping their customers off by giving them a crappier version of an already made product.

Don't get me wrong though, they've implemented some pretty good ideas into the game. Kill Confirmed, various strike packages and some other things are great ideas but they aren't great enough to carry a game that plays like complete crap.

The genre of FPS's is on life-support right now of COD is touted as the best FPS by the majority. The games are getting crappier and crappier as they're made. The only game that is actually improving, IMO, is Battlefield. Starting at dedicated servers and continuing right up through the actual gameplay, BF3 is hands down the best FPS out, IMO.

Also, BF seems to be the only game that has developers who refuse to cater to children and first-time players.

MW3 is just short of a disaster.

Oh, and another question. Do the developers of the MW series really think they are that cool by putting weed references into every game? Seriously, what a cheesy tactic geared towards gaining the interest of teenagers.

I couldn't disagree more.

I've got 2+ days of playing time into the multiplayer on this already and I've only had this happen to me a couple of times, total.


This notion that this happens all the time in every single game is just simply put not true.


Either you're the most unlucky person in the world or you got mad cause it happened a couple of times and immediately decided that it happens all the time.

I bet you think everyone runs around with AIM bots too? LOL.

I believe DICE recently released a patch for the enemy spawn issue. It mainly happen in Conquest games.

I've played BF2142, BFBC2, and BF3. It's only happen to me in BF3 and as noted in the post above, I believe DICE released a patch recently to *fix* that issue.

I've only played Bad Company 2 and some limited time on BF3 (though I might get it at Christmas to have) and it happened to me in both.

Now with Bad Company 2 most of the time it happened because some guy on the other team would camp in the spawn of the area that we just took both objectives so that when you had to spawn back there, for whatever reason, he was right there waiting to kill you in that instance. But it happened.


BF3 was more of the Snipers taking me out from wherever just as I spawned.


Glad to hear they've patched it although it was never a huge deal to me as it was just something that comes with the game and you deal with it and move along.

I had this one guy that would spawn and drop a claymore then backup and wait for people to spawn and kill them.

Someone would spawn and immediately die from the claymore and then he would just aim head high and shoot anytime someone spawned. You couldn't get any more cheesy than that.

The next time I spawned and didn't die immediately, I dropped a claymore and 5 seconds later he spawned and died on my claymore!

This is definitely why their needs to be a invulnerability period right after spawn. During that time you shouldn't be able to shoot or knife either.
