My 2021 Draft Review and Analysis

I like the Joseph pick. Wright is the only one of those I question. And I like OO. Oh, and he did go at 73. That's right. Still, I like OO. I wasn't a huge fan of Barmore tbh. The more I watched his tape, the more overrated I thought he looked. Especially for the type of DT we got. I think we'll like Bohanna. He's a sneaky good DT. I think he's the 1T we needed. We will see what happens, but, atm, I wasn't shocked that Barmore slid like he did. Not worth trading up for.

I honestly don’t believe the cowboys were interested in Barmore. I wouldn’t have angered me but we already have (2) 3 techs in house a 2 and 3rd round pick the cowboys aren’t ready to throw the towel in on yet

so the fact that Barmore played several positions in college but mainly 3 tech and I’m not sure but he wasn’t always stating was he?

I think CR wanted him pretty bad.

I dont' think they were either, and I think it's because he didn't fit us.

Well, those "on-paper" drafts didn't do much as you stated. At least in this one, we managed to hit all the positions of need. IMO, with good-excellent quality players for the most part.

I've taken to giving our team's drafts a giant shoulder shrug with a small smile and then we'll see how it goes kind of thought process.

And we can still go down from here.

It's just a neat little defense measure for peeps to rely upon so they can complain more when it actually happens.

Remember: there are teams that have gone 0-16 and still haven't recovered after many years.

I disagree. Osa can play 1 tech and 3 tech. Folks want to say he is just under 190 lbs so he can't be 1 tech but if you watch his film he doesn't get moved or blown back. He has tons of strength plus was an excellent wrestler and uses leverage very well. Excellent at stopping the run and brings some pass rush as well. He is much better than Crawford but has flexibility to move around on the DL.

Golston is a really good run blocker. He takes Armstrong job in training camp. Isn't the pass rusher that you look for like Gregory but isn't totally inept either.

I think you will end up really loving Osa and Golston by the end of the year.

Also I seen you said something about its crazy that Bohanna being better than Barmore. As a run stopper and clogging up the middle, Bohanna is absolutely better. Barmore is the better pass rusher though....... for the record I had both McNeil and Wilson above Barmore and Bohanna

Agreed. Just cuz Osa is under 290 doesn't mean he can't be a 1T. Like I said, I see him as a quicker and better version of Tyron Crawford.

Everyone looks great on highlight tapes. All these undrafted free agents look great too. Some look better than who we drafted.

osi fits, but not barmore? They are literally mirror images and position. Barmore is just better.
