What to say really?

I think both teams played real good football. Oklahoma played their butts off tonight, as did Florida. I am ok with the loss as long as the team was playing for the full 60 min. I think they did.

Florida had excellent ball control in the 2nd half. They obviously adjusted real well to Oklahomas defense at the half.

Congratz to the Gators and Tim Tebow.

The Cowboys and the Sooners have given me some pain the past 4-5 seasons. That sure is hard to swallow sometimes.

Tough loss tonight.

At least I have the Horns and Spurs.....since my Cowboys and Astros have been sucking. Oh yeah, the Pens went 6 in the Stanley Cup Finals last year....so they were good too.

1. Does the Oklahoma offense always look to the sideline like that when they're at the LOS? Very strange tactic.

2. What was the deal with Fox's "snap clock" when OK had the ball?

I think they were emphasizing OU's use of some hurry up offense?

Is there any real difference between OU and tOSU?

Those 2 programs basically mirror each other.

OU left 6-10 points on the field by not kicking a FG in goal to go and by throwing that pic at the end of the half. That was the difference in the game. Stoops should no better, you take the points in big games.

My favorite part of the game?

Listening to the announcers. My goodness, not even Tebow's parents can love him that much.

"That was probably the first wrong thing that young man has ever done in his life."

:lmao:

Good grief.

Pretty good game IMO.

OU fans don't have anything to be ashamed about in this game as they played well but Florida was just the better team.

I guess if there is anything to rag OU about is that they have lost their bowl games of late.

But this was not a case of losing by 20 and being dominated on both sides of the ball like they did to my beloved mountaineers last year. (Yes I had to throw that in there :D )

They played a good game and have nothing to be ashamed about last night IMO.

Now there is something to consider here. If it comes down to 2-3 teams again next year that are very close in the polls...one has to wonder if the voters would dock OU a spot to keep them out of a title game due to their recent bowl record. Now I am not saying they should or should not, just wonder if that will play in the minds of some voters even though they say it is all done by computer rankings.

I saw a couple other teams doing it a on this yr too, like almost every play.

To me its an example of overcoaching.

OU looking to the sidelines almost on every play after they look like they are ready to snap it, is very irritating to watch.

It's the spread offense at it's best. Memphis runs it and I hate it. They will look at the sidelines for the call then lineup then look to the sidelines again before finally snapping the ball with a second or two left on the clock.

Except in our case it usually ends up with a tackle for loss or a qb sack.:

We had to use 4 qb's this year due to injury and I think a lot of it has to do with the crappy spread offense.

I'm sure the loss will not deter some of the OU fans of claiming to be the better team. :lmao:

I agree it it irritating. Florida was doing it a times also. It is the in thing to do and I have seen several teams do it this year. It is like watching Meerkat Manor where they all turn their heads and look in the same direction.

Do they run a Running Spread or Passing Spread Offense?

Either way the offense should not be the cause of 4 QBs being used...if it is being ran correctly and you have decent talent.
