I'm sure the loss will not deter some of the OU fans of claiming to be the better team.

We have a couple OU fans where I work and they've already moved into the usual "The refs screwed us" defense that they call in after every single loss.

Those 2 programs basically mirror each other.

You really dont understand the past few BCS games Oklahoma has been in. They were awful in those.

This one was a different story.

Why is it so hard for children to comprehend what I am saying?

What's amazing to me is that when OU is "in the ball game the entire time" and loses, it's like some sort of victory. However, when Texas is in the game the whole time and actually wins, it's underachievement.

it's an amazing process to watch really. I'm confident that this too will be dismissed as hater aid against Stoops or OU or whatever the case.

Re-read my previous post. How does it slip by you that I am saying it was different for ME because Oklahoma was in this game and wasn't really in the previous NC games.

Its different for me because I see if differently than a hating Longhorn fan because I am a fan of the Sooners.

I thank all of you for the entertainment.

I wish some of you were not followers of Texas (and the other texas teams in college for that matter) and Oklahoma.

That way you could watch this and have a good time.

I have seen argument points used to defend one of the teams and at the same time the same argument points to bash the other team.

I don't say this in a condescending manner, it just really is entertaining and at the same time I will say...wait a minute this guy just used this argument to bash the other team but in this post or thread he is using the same argument to defend his.

Either way it is entertaining.

Again you are confusing it. Im not asking for style points. Oklahoma in the past looked terrible in the NC game.

This game they at least were prepared and were in it. To me that means something. Yes we lost and that hurt but the team was prepared last night and the defense (which everyone wrote off) played its butt off.

Personally, I thought last nights game was not very good. I didn't think either team really played all that well. Obviously, Florida played better then OU did but I wasn't all that impressed with either team.

Very aware of that. I read it for days. Heck, OU fans weren't very impressed with the game between OU and Texas earlier so why would I be surprised that they weren't impressed with a Bowl Game victory?

What to say really?

I think both teams played real good football. Oklahoma played their butts off tonight, as did Florida. I am ok with the loss as long as the team was playing for the full 60 min. I think they did.

Florida had excellent ball control in the 2nd half. They obviously adjusted real well to Oklahomas defense at the half.

Congratz to the Gators and Tim Tebow.



The Cowboys and the Sooners have given me some pain the past 4-5 seasons. That sure is hard to swallow sometimes.

Tough loss tonight.

I feel your pain, brother - that was a tough loss. But hold your head high, your team was in it late going into the 4th quarter and played with a lot of heart last night. I know that this doesn't help much but, after it was all said and done, I thought that the better team lost and I can assure you that wasn't my feelings going into the pre-game. OU played a lot better in the 1st half and had it not been for some bad breaks along the way, would have pulled out the victory. This was the best OU team that I've seen in quite awhile and a team that you should still be proud of.

Looking forward to next year's UT/OU match. Should be a hell of a game.

But Dallas, in all seriousness, I'd like to get your opinion (or other Sooners fans) objective view on the Florida opponent compared to how the Longhorns played against your team. Which team do you feel gave you a better game and what are your thoughts about a **/UT game?
