Scandrick is a good player but certainly not one who is capable of making our defense respectable on his own. The pass rush must improve greatly before our DBs will be capable of limiting opposing offenses admirably. Yes, Scandrick is good but surely not quite enough to be considered great.

I was a Scandrick hater his first few years. He's now established himself as an above average to very good corner. As others have said he needs to make some plays on the ball and he could be a probowler. Easily. He was close in 2014.

How close to being a pro bowler was he?

Lol Scandrick still gets hate from fans? Weird. The only cb we have with heart and dog in him. Ask Garcon when he hit a Cowboy defender late in the 2014 season. Scandrick bossed up on Washington. made key plays all year too. Gave up some plays to Green Bay but he was hardly a liability that day

Yup. Scandrick has been the best corner on the team for a while now. I agree that he's no Deion, but no one in the league can claim that. Hell, no one who's ever played other than Prime Time can claim that. IMO Mo improved to the point of being a decent corner. There's a good chance he'll get better, as will Byron Jones. If we find that pass rush, this secondary has a chance to be good. On offense if we do good ball control, winning time of possession, other teams will have to pay from behind and take more risks. Then we'll see more picks. I do hope Marinelli coaches picks into their heads in camp.

89. Orlando Scandrick, CB, Dallas Cowboys (Unranked)

There are higher draft picks and more costly free agents on the roster than Scandrick, but no cornerback on the Cowboys played as well as the former fifth-rounder out of Boise State. Despite missing the first two games of the year, Scandrick had a career season on his way to allowing just 9.9 yards per reception while picking up two interceptions and five pass break-ups.

Best Performance: Week 3, DAL @ SL, +2.5

Key Stat: Didn’t allow a single touchdown all year.

On my -3 thru +3 scale, I rated Scandy at a 1.5 year-end average. He ranked moderate-to-high scores in coverage, high scores in critical playmaking (playing strong at key moments), and moderate in pass-rush. Pro Football Focus thought so much of Orlando Scandrick that they ranked him as their 10th best CB in the NFL last season, that’s obviously behind All-Pro CBs Richard Sherman (3rd) and Darrelle Revis (4th), but it’s ahead of players like Aqib Talib (16th), Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (17th), and Joe Haden (28th).

He was that close. You're a funny guy.

If he gets more than 2 int's this year, I'll try and be more serious.

He's a player. If Mo was a player wed be a much better secondary. Scandrick can cover, tackle and is a leader.

Period.....

But let's just cage him on his number of INTs. Such linear thinking. I'm not surprised they're still out there though.

OScan's positive impact will be felt this year.

Scandrick isn't a playmaker...

But he's one of the best slot corners in the league....

His presence in our lineup is definitely needed...

He's not a playmaker...but he's really good

What's so hard to understand?

That's what people did regarding Ramsey.

Glad Scandrick is coming back though, which means either Carr or Claiborne will get less snaps this year.
