In terms of making plays on the ball, I'm not too excited.
Being the best CB on this team is not saying much. It is kinda like comparing the least offensive smells of farts.
So you can't name any better corners on our squad. That's kinda what I figured. Our secondary isn't great but they aren't atrocious either. AND... OScan is the best one out there. It's not even close.
Everything about this team is terrible and or mediocre with this guy. You haven't figured out his MO by now? None of our starters now on either side of the ball would have even been backups on the 90s teams
I like Scandy but let's face it, we are loaded with #2 corners...
But his last year he played like a number 1 and it wasn't a contract year.

Comparing anyone to Deion is pretty unfair.Oh really? I wasn't aware he shut down a bunch of Top rated receivers And had multiple picks with some going for 6. The Scandy I know usually makes a stop right after the receiver catches the ball. Not totally his fault with the new rules favoring receivers but he's no Deion, he's a #2 corner...

I already posted pff had him as the 10th rated cb that year. Since when are pick 6s the criteria for a good corner? Sherman didn't have any last year
Sherman is also left alone often on his side because quite often he shuts it down...
Keep moving the goalposts. I'm outta here. Some people try too hard not to be Homers. Can't even appreciate a good cowboy player
From what I've seen, that's a scheme thing. We must not ask our dbs to make plays on the ball.
Seems strange that Jason would blame a lack of turnovers on Rob's firing and not not ask his successor to implement a scheme that de-emphasizes making plays on the the ball.
Garrett says lack of turnovers led to defensive coordinator turnover

So why did the Cowboys dump the 3-4 defense coordinated by Rob Ryan and adopt in its place a 4-3 scheme featuring multiple former Jon Gruden assistants?
Garrett says the turnover comes from a lack of turnovers.
“The Bears had 44 takeaways,” Garrett said this week at the Senior Bowl, via Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We had 16. That’s 28 more opportunities with the ball. Give me some of those 28 opportunities. That’s something that we really sat back and thought a lot about, had a lot of discussions about — what’s the best way to try to achieve that, and then, ‘OK, you want to do that, now who are the guys who can help implement that?'”
So with Monte Kiffin running the defense and Rod Marinelli coaching the defensive line, the goal will be to force more fumbles and interceptions. (LOL) ......

He's back baby! & I think his presence will elevate that defense. Consider him an x factor. If he's back at 100%, that defense will feed off of his passion. I'm excited.
