besides the fact that the play being complained about today roy got hit almost as soon as the ball hit his hands. A catch he should have made, but not a catch every receiver makes every single time.

seems the fans just need a player to hate on the team, no matter how much success we have.

You're talking out of your ***. Roy Williams leads the NFC in drops I believe. He now has 10. How do you get 10 drops when you're never targeted?

Everyone here watches the Cowboys games. To say something completely non-factual is asinine and makes you look like a complete jack***.

There are some people around here that think he should be cut.

heh, I'm not far from being one. :laugh2: Of course, that WOULD be a tough sell due to money. Though I see nothing wrong with making an example of him. If a man isn't earning his keep, you make life tough on him.

If there is a better option at WR on the team, you HAVE to make that move. Otherwise not only are you spending the money, you are making the team worse. If you're going to spend the money, might as well have the best team you have on the field.

umm, 10 drops has nothing to do with targeted.

I also liked how that stat is now, 10 drops of passes that were catchable, but with TO it was targetted 21 times wityh 5 catches.

I look at the big picture, the facts are romo has an issue with roy, he has since he got here.

Tony is to blame for that too. Sorry it doesn't jive with your "facts"

The problem is the timing of the drops. Miles had a drop against the Skins too, but it was on a 1st down play if I recall, so you can just come back and make another play. The last couple big drops Roy has had have come on 3rd downs, and those are the ones everybody is going to remember, because you're killing a drive.

If he doesn't get it together, he's really going to hurt us in the playoffs because Tony will just not throw it to him, and at that point we may as well be playing 10 guys on offense.

After that drop he was invisible to Romo. He didn't even look his way the rest of the game.

Which is why Dallas should start Crayton as the number 2 and Ogltree as the number 3. Romo trusts them and will throw it to them if they are open. Roy has had too many chances and he will continue to dissappoitment. Its not his fault that Jerry overpaid for a #2 receiver, but right now he is not even playing better than Crayton. This next game against Philly is paramount and Roy Willy will cost Dallas the game if he gets the majority of the snaps.

You have to be targeted to drop a pass. So if what you're saying is they have nothing to do with each other, if Romo targeted Roy Williams 20 times, and he had 10 drops that would be a 50% drop percentage. A drop is when a WR doesn't catch a catchable pass. So, if he was targeted 20 times, but only 15 where catchable and he dropped 10 thats a 66% drop percentage.

So you're right, targeted has nothing to do with drops, but the less you're targeted and the more drops you have, the more ****ty a WR you are.

Roy Williams == ****ty WR

Crayton is a slot receiver and besides Wes Welker probably the best. He shouldn't be taken out of this. Miles Austin emergence makes a Uno Uno a good 4th option. IMO its too late in the season to make dramatic changes. He did catch the first touchdown pass. If he talks it takes the distraction off the other players. He is sacrificing himself for the team.
The smiling is just part of the embarrassment from a drop.
I know from coaching Little league that you do not want a player to fear failure , if they do allot of times the pressure is too much and they have mental breakdowns.
He does attract attention from defenses and this opens things up.

Are you RW's mother? That's the only way anyone could justify his atrocious play.

Drops happen, you should reserve your hate for the opposition. It makes no sense to hate players on your favorite team.

romo never seemed to throw to him till lately, or well, it just seemed he never got the ball at all, now he drops it when he does.

and as I recall they were getting some chemistry till romo laid roy out and he got his ribs hurts.

why is it not evident by now, RW is a third string WR, 2nd string on a very very very good day.

why doesn't anyone else have RW's problem?

Everyone said RW can make those high passes because there are times when those are the only ones available to the qb, but I have yet to see him catch one.
Everyone else makes those tough catches, but I can count on my one finger how many times Roy has caught a "tough" catch.
And plain and simple, if RW is the one not catching what everyone else is catching, then we need to find someone new.

Told ya so.

Average receiver, slightly stupid, and has now officially lost Romos trust.

Still a better option than predecessor. He hasn't ruined team chemistry or talk of clubhouse cancer etc....
