This is true. Combined with the fact Miles Austin is better than the predecessor.

You know who I'm starting to really hate? Besides several people on the coaching staff. Roy Williams.

While Safety Roy Williams sucked, I never hated him. At least he gave effort in his suckiness. I'm beginning to have an extreme hate building up in me for this piece of **** WR Roy Williams. The Cowboys need to put his *** on notice. ****ing bench him for a game.

:bang2: :yousuck:

so you hate Roy Williams.....you must be a T.O lover then.. I agree Roy needs to start making catches, but while you all seem to distain Roy, save some of that hatred for Bennett, who never seems to know where to line up and also drops passes thrown his way. Then there's Crayton, the so-called best hands on the team, but he also drops balls every freakin game, again last night. Then there's Sam Hurd, who in his limited chances, drops the ball thrown his way. .And then there's Ogletree, who everyone thinks should be the starter, laughable as far as I'm concerned, he's an undrafted free agent rookie in his first year, he's lucky to know where the dressing room is, drops his ball thrown his way last night. So while you all seem to hate Roy and his drops, which are growing, remember, there's plenty of hate to go around with these receivers and all their dropped passes, not just Roy..

Yeah like when he said the QB was throwing better balls to other receivers?

Or constantly *****ing and whining about his #1 WR status?

He's been a joy.

And if you look at Tony he is getting tired of Roy's ****. Thats why he didn't throw a single pass his way after those drops.

I don't remember OTree dropping a ball last night. The one pass thrown to him was short by a few yards.

Babe said on his pregame show yesterday that OTree is a better receiver right now that RW. The othe commentater said he remembered Babe saying the same thing last year about Miles. Heck, he told me himself this year that Miles was the real deal in his opinion.

Babe also said OTree was becoming the second best reciever on the team. If he's right again, we need to get OTree more involved and soon.

And I don't think anyone was more excited to get RW here than I was. It just isn't panning out.

No, I'm not a TO lover. Roy Williams is the starting WR. Crayton, Hurd, and Bennett are not the starters. You have to separate the men from the boys when judging a player. If you are a starter and you can't hold on to the ball, you shouldn't be the starter. At least when TO was starting and dropping the ball, he still produced 1200+ yards and 10+ TDs.

Roy Williams? He doesn't even have 600 yards this year and I SERIOUSLY doubt he is going to have double digit TDs either.

btw, Roy E Williams is on page 2 of the NFL WR stats page.

Move along.

why is it not evident by now, RW is a third string WR, 2nd string on a very very very good day.

why doesn't anyone else have RW's problem?

Everyone said RW can make those high passes because there are times when those are the only ones available to the qb, but I have yet to see him catch one.
Everyone else makes those tough catches, but I can count on my one finger how many times Roy has caught a "tough" catch.
And plain and simple, if RW is the one not catching what everyone else is catching, then we need to find someone new.

I have friends that are fans of teams in the Lions division.

Every single one said Roy was an underrated WR that could play with the best of them.

They watched a hell of a lot more of Roy than any of us.

Tony has had an issue with Roy from day one, it's been obvious. If it isn't obvious then you need to go back in time and pay attention.

That's not all on Roy, and especially not cause he dropped a ball in the Commanders game.

lmao @ 3rd string, you guys are ridiculous sometimes.

the thing is he never targeted him, now all of the sudden they are supposed to have chemistry?

besides the fact that the play being complained about today roy got hit almost as soon as the ball hit his hands. A catch he should have made, but not a catch every receiver makes every single time.

seems the fans just need a player to hate on the team, no matter how much success we have.

Top three most targeted Cowboy's WR as of week 15

Witten: 114 (catches 72.8% of passes)

Austin: 107 (catches 60.7% of passes)

RW: 86 (catches 44.2% of passes)

2 players that bother me on the Cowboys now.....

are

Roy Williams and Barber......

I actually defended the trade made for Roy......I really thought he would be a difference maker. How wrong I was.

Roy gets no seperation......nada.......doesnt really run that great of routes...and now his suppposed greatest asset (his hands) have failed this team.....time and time again.

With Barber....its starts off with his stupid antics when he gains a lousy 3 yards.....and it continues with his hesitation moves at the line of scrimmage and his decisions that he is can bounce things outside.

I know the cap hit would be way to high....but I would try to trade these two guys....

completely disagree with the thread.

I put it equally on tony and on roy.

Romo is playing lights out, but there is something not right between those two.

So there are at least still 3 Roy sheeple left.

Thats just it. Usually easy catches.

Its a mental thing.

Yesterday he was looking up field. I understand that. I would like to see him hit his stride starting January 3rd, 2010 at 4:45pm :D

While I'm upset with his dropped passes, and believe me I am, I can't hate the guy. He's working hard and he doesn't act like a jerk about this stuff. As much as I liked TO, and all the great plays he brought here, you know darn well that if TO had played that exact game last night he'd be blaming it on everyone else but himself and how this team would be so much better if he got more oppurtunities.

Roy, at the very least, understands thats he's squandering his chances and he knows that he's only going to see 3-4 balls a game and that is about as good as it's going to get until he starts making plays with those oppurtunities.

I really do still believe that this guy can improve with more and more time with Romo and this team and that eventually this will not look like a bad move to have the guy but right now he's simply struggling.

I believe he'll eventually be a darn good WR for us but right now we're going through the growing pains of a guy still struggling.

That's the thing - I don't think RW is trying hard. I bet he isn't out there late at night running route after route, catching a hundred plus balls.

I imagine him standing in front of a mirror wearing his UT uniform practicing his first down move over and over. 250 reps a night just so that he can whip it out every other game.

After that drop he was invisible to Romo. He didn't even look his way the rest of the game.

:starspin After that drop, I can't blame him...at all...for not looking his way. It really burns me to think what we gave for Williams.....arggghhh!!

umm, 10 drops has nothing to do with targeted.

I also liked how that stat is now, 10 drops of passes that were catchable, but with TO it was targetted 21 times wityh 5 catches.

I look at the big picture, the facts are romo has an issue with roy, he has since he got here.

Tony is to blame for that too. Sorry it doesn't jive with your "facts"
so let me get this straight the majority of fans facts are wrong and yours are right:rolleyes: maybe just maybe Romo has a problem with his sloppy routes he runs, or maybe his great phantom hands we constantly hear about. I believe all of this bashing is affecting his confidence. Things will continue on with Miles and Witten being the focus

kind of reminds of the safety R.williams threads that used to go on and on

one side makes excuses and the others just point out the obvious. Jerry will come around and cut his losses with him like he has done with players in past

his salary makes it difficult right now or next year to cut him

just time to accept we a stuck with a fraud #1 reciever
