My burning hate for Roy Williams is growing

After that drop he was invisible to Romo. He didn't even look his way the rest of the game.

and rightly so...the biggest problem however is that he's wasting a route. We could have someone like Ogletree or Hurd running that route and Romo might actually throw it to them and they might actually catch it. I'm not annointing either of those guys, just saying that as it stands now, once RW drops an easy one (which is every week now), Romo stops throwing it his way, which means that is one guy running downfield that is not really an option and hence, a wasted route. Let's give that route to someone else who might actually pose a threat to get open, get the ball thrown their direction, and actually catch it.
I know Jerry doesn't want to admit RW's trade was a colossal bust but he should be able to take solace in the fact that he got a probably probowler WR as an UDFA (not to mention a top 10, maybe top 5 QB as one also)

I'm off the Roy Williams bandwagon... Everytime I think he's going to have a break out game it's another lackluster showing.

:welcome: back.

And Roy, stop with all the Texas Longhorns stuff. No one cares. This isnt college its the NFL.

Grow up.

:lmao2: :lmao: :lmao2:

Every time I see him do that hookem horns symbol I laugh. It's so lame.

You know who I'm starting to really hate? Besides several people on the coaching staff. Roy Williams.

While Safety Roy Williams sucked, I never hated him. At least he gave effort in his suckiness. I'm beginning to have an extreme hate building up in me for this piece of **** WR Roy Williams. The Cowboys need to put his *** on notice. ****ing bench him for a game.

:bang2: :yousuck:

right there with you man.

completely disagree with the thread.

I put it equally on tony and on roy.

Romo is playing lights out, but there is something not right between those two.

Why should Romo even bother throwing the ball to Roy, so he can drop it???

I dont blame Romo, I wouldnt throw to the piece of **** WR either.

So you have a problem with school pride. Some folks in this thread, I believe, must not have attended a Div I school... hmmm...jealousy?

It's not UT bashing. It's Roy bashing. He's not in college anymore...it's almost like he's trying to make people like him because he played for Texas and remind them of what he used to do in college.

Problem is this is the NFL, not college.

Bob Sanders doesnt get up and do the Hawk Chomp every time he makes a play.

Roy has a Texas backdrop when doing interviews, wears Texas hats during introductions, flashes the Hook EM sign everytime he scores...

It's just really old. No other player in the league does anything like this, no matter what college they went to.

I'm getting more and more sick of his smiling after dropped passes. That is all.

This. Everytime he gets that damn grin on his face it just makes it all the worse and makes people like me believe he really doesn't give a crap.

what's hilarious about it is that people outside of Texas and Cowboy fans have know idea what he's doing with it

the ESPN guys last night said he was "striking some kind of pose"

btw, I can't believe people still think Romo is contributing to Roy Williams' delinquency, at least Roy has stopped the excuse making, I think it's time fans do too

Are you kidding me? Safety Roy Williams ALWAYS passed off the blame to someone else. That is probably what pissed me off most about him.

Anyhow, I hate them both.

I think I had a thread about this a few weeks ago: We need to avoid Roy Williamsssss from now on.

umm, 10 drops has nothing to do with targeted.

I also liked how that stat is now, 10 drops of passes that were catchable, but with TO it was targetted 21 times wityh 5 catches.

I look at the big picture, the facts are romo has an issue with roy, he has since he got here.

Tony is to blame for that too. Sorry it doesn't jive with your "facts"

Roy Williams has one of the lowest conversion rates of passes thrown to him among starting WRs

I believe he's on par with most team's 3rd receivers

why is it not evident by now, RW is a third string WR, 2nd string on a very very very good day.

why doesn't anyone else have RW's problem?

Everyone said RW can make those high passes because there are times when those are the only ones available to the qb, but I have yet to see him catch one.
Everyone else makes those tough catches, but I can count on my one finger how many times Roy has caught a "tough" catch.
And plain and simple, if RW is the one not catching what everyone else is catching, then we need to find someone new.

good post

Roy said repeatedly that all Romo had to do was trust him and throw the ball to him

Romo has and Roy has *pun intended* dropped the ball

he had a couple of drops, you guys are blowing it out of proportion and ignoring the chemistry issues between Romo and Roy from day one.

I know why bob does stuff like that, bless his heart, but I don't know why anyone else would.

I'm a Texas fan, but it gets on my nerves also. If you play outstanding do whatever, but when you play poorly & unconsistent you need to be more humble. JMO.

Mr "I have the best hands in the NFL" doesn't understand the concept of humility. He also doesn't understand the concept of working hard which is why he is failing as a WR in the NFL.

Probably because he doesn't really give a crap.

he got out of detroit.

he got $45M contract..

he is on TV regularly.

That's all RW ever wanted so why would he be unhappy?

You're delusional and should probably seek help.

Once I became a drunken idiot, I spent the 4th quarter making sure Roy Williams knew how much of a disappointment he has been (aside from the TD.)

so you think that from the moment that Roy got here that there wasn't a chemistry issue with Romo?

seriously?

selective memory I guess.
