BTW, anyone worried about what other NFL coaches would think if we fired Wade should really not be worried. NOBODY is going to care because everyone knows he's just a friggin bus driver. Do you want to know why he barely got any coach of the year votes despite having the best team in the NFC? Because the talent won games for this team, not Wade Phillips.

"Mr. Fix It" came in and his defense sucked. Then he made players sign some stupid *** "no penalty" contract which, as you can tell from the 58 penalties we had Sunday, obviously worked.

Get RID of this guy. ASAP.

LOL, great response. Couldn't agree more

I'm not w/ the whole "Fire Wade" group, just wondering what really it is that Wade has brought to this team

I'm trying really hard to see it, we were supposed to see an aggressive, attacking D, but really witnessed one that stood back and hoped that the QB would throw into coverage, which is kind of hard to do when you give up so much space for the QB to throw into, I mean, we have a pretty good secondary, better off than most, we're just weak at #3 and #4, we weren't creative attacking the QB, idk, someone has to explain exactly what it is that Wade has brought here, we can't have great players at every position, something's gotta give

on O, the struggle is real simple, we need a consistent rushing attack and another threat besides TO

Our defense is better than last year if for no reason than we bring more pressure and we don't have a stiff at FS.

Windward, it is not about Demarcus Ware peaking, the guy is already a beast.

The fact is we walked on the field with 12, yes 12 Pro Bowl players and were 1 and done.

How many dang on Pro Bowlers and All Pros do we need to win one, jusut one Playoff Game?

This team is already good enough. We were the class of the NFC throughout the season and then we tanked.

What really sucks is that we were relatively healthy as well.

The Mavericks and now the Cowboys :(

I hear you, bro, we were stacked, better off than most teams, hell, just look at the GIant secondary for crying out loud, healthy, despite Glenn, but we've been playing w/o him all year, and we lost, this is why the loss is so disappointing, damn, if only a few things went our way, if Romo gets a good grip on the ball, not blaming him for this, it happens, TO finds his way into the endzone, and we're up 21-14, Crayton catches that 3rd down pass, who knows, there was nothing but field ahead of him, 28-14, at worst, 24-14, if Leonard Davis doesn't kill what was looking to be a productive drive, if Crayton kept running his route at the end, man, we should have won, we should have won

what I don't understand is why the soft-zone? both Newman and HEnry are man-cover corners, and it was obvious all year that Reeves wasn't cutting it in zone coverage, I mean, we have 2 very good corners, yet we're sitting back in zone, and they're not stopping it, the pass-rush isn't going to get there all the time, you have to cover, idk, I'm just really fustrated right now

Seriously, I fear we might have another Switzer on our hands with Wade and i'd rather just cut our losses now before it's to late. it took a long *** time to recover last time :banghead:

Garrett should be demoted after this game, not promoted. How you don't score more than 20+ points on a team working with their 6th CB is inexcusable.

:hammer:

We lost, so let's fire a first-year head coach and give the job to the guy who heads up the most underperforming division in the company.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Tough day. Regardless of the outcome, Wade Phillips should be head coach. There's going to be enough change this off-season as it is. We'll see how many assistants we lose.

Yeppers.

For the record, I do not think Wade Phillips is a terrible Head Coach, I thought he had a very good Regular Season.

My contention is that if Jerry Jones feels that Jason Garrett is going to be our next Head Coach, I don't see why it cannot happen next year.

Jerry Jones has been very hot lately and a great case can be made for him being GM of the Year, so I would completely trust any decision he makes, either Wade Phillips or Jason Garrett.

The problem is, what's the alternative? If Wade did get fired, which he won't, then it would be Garrett getting the job. I think Jason has a bright future in front of him, but I really don't think he's ready now.

Of course, sticking with Wade likely isn't going to do us much good either. The guy isn't terrible, but he's not a winner either. Even at 13-3, this team is so undisciplined it's pathetic.

A win yesterday in a very winnable game would've gotten the "0 for the playoffs" mark off Wade. But now, that's still going to be hanging over him and the team and Romo. If you thought it was bad this year when the team started struggling in December, just wait til next season. And if the pressure was heavy on Wade and Romo yesterday, just wait til the next time they get in the playoffs. All of that could've been wiped out, but now it's just going to be magnified even more.

Wade Phillips has always been known for his defense. BUT! Even if you look back at the Chargers, he defense always fails short at the end of the year. They were #1 only to slip to #10 by season end. Do they get lots of sacks? Yes, they also give up lots of plays that keep drives alive. I can live without 60 sacks, if they can stop someone on 3rd down.

I think Wade should go. I've always though him dumb, but I was slightly off. He isn't as dumb as I though, but he also has been known to NOT get the job done and he did it again this year.

My thought? Promote Garrett and sign Rex Ryan as DC since he has been fired from the Ravens.

His Failure must be punished.

failing is not the issue whatsoever

the reason WHY we failed, and complete lack of improvement from game 1 with 10+ probowlers, and lack of discipline is the issue.

Yup....it's the lack of discipline, attention to detail and laid back attitude that was the demise of this team.

Isn't the issue that the players let all of this Pre-December hype go to their heads? The past two seasons, they have been fed that they are the greatest thing on the planet coming out of November, only to stop playing in the manner they had been at and start coasting. The team is too young to simply turn it on when needed and it has killed them two years in a row. They need a leader amongst the players on this team that can get that point across to them. As much potential as Romo has, he currently is not that guy.

Is that Wade's fault? Perhaps, but at some point the players have to execute and it was a lack of execution that caused more pain than the game-plan. Throw in the unbelievable amount of penalties and you have one poor showing on the field.
