The family got together last night to exchange gifts because my cousin and her daughter is going out of town today. So instead of the family getting together today on Christmas Eve, we met last night. My mom didn't feel like cooking so my cousin came up with the idea to buy dinner for the whole family and wanted everyone to contribute $12.00 a piece.

So I get to the house and see that the dinner was 40 wings and a pan of mac and cheese? There was No Chicken Breast , chicken Thighs, or no biscuts. And she wants everyone to believe that 40 wings and a pan of mac and cheese cost $75???? I am so disgusted because I feel so cheated and the food was even all that good.

I could have gotten myself a much better dinner for $12 dollars from Popeyes. Most grown people want something other than a chicken wing when eating fried chicken. And I can tell everyone at the table was trying to be polite and went along with it to avoid confrontation. Plus no one took any of the food home after we left the house. I believe everyone was disappointed for the money they put out.

Then she reveals to the family she got a $1000 christmas bonus from her job. Then why the hell did we give her $12.00 a piece? She could have kept that news about her bonus to herself

40 wings is a ripoff. She could have gone to Kroger or Tom Thumb and got several 8 piece chicken fried chicken meals for $7.99 and Mac and cheese for 3.99 lb

So let's say 10 peeps at $12. You could got 80 pieces of fried chicken and 10lbs of Mac and cheese

I was wondering why she was so aggressive in asking for the money as soon as we walked in the door.

And asking and no food is in sight. Plus it was nothing special

'Tis the season to let it go. Make a PBJ and get back to enjoying the family. If your cousin pocketed the dinner change, that stuff tends to catch up down the road anyway.
