Nix is a NT, why would Dallas need that in a 4-3, whose goal is to rush the passer?

So I guess they DON'T need to stop the run at all........best player available gets us the best NT in the draft. Not even sure why I have to defend the pick. Just get used to teams averaging 150 yards rushing a game against us. Then you will all be crying for a NT in the first 2 rounds next year.

If we still played 3-4 then yes Nix is a good pick but we play 4-3, doesn't fit

Exactly and Ealy is just another strong-side DE... And Dallas has several of them.

With this draft the Cowboys would still be hurting at their weakest defensive line spot... Weak-side DE.

Zach Martin is a beast, with op draft our OL not as strong

I still find it funny people think that a 3-4 NT can just be plugged into a 4-3 defense. Its a completely different scheme and assignment.

The guy is compared to Vince Wolfork......he has played in both schemes in NE. No matter what anyone says you still need a big run stopper at the 1tech. Just enjoy the great McClain at the 1 and enjoy 150 yards rushing a game for our opponents.

Here is some news for you, we are not a weak side DE away from winning a Super Bowl. If we were I would agree with you. We are rebuilding now and it could have waited till the following draft. Anyways we got a DE who won't contribute much to stopping the run and a guy who piled up coverage sacks.

He's a "poor man's" Wolfork. Wilfork was a legit first round talent. He was faster and stronger (coming out) than what Nix is.

Also keep in mind that a pure-run defense is only needed about 40% of the time. A #1 tech DT isn't going to have many snaps if you have a couple strong-side DE's who can move inside to provide more pass rush.

Who says Lawrence won't contribute much to stopping the run? I think we ought to see him play a little.

What would Charles Barkley say? Turrible.

OP seems butt hurt any time someone disagrees with his mock. Maybe OP should apply to be a GM. He obviously knows more than the rest of us. On behalf of all us simpletons, I apologize.
