I will take it but Ajayi won't last till our 3rd rd pick let alone the fourth.

Reaching on McKinney and Shaw by about 20 picks, but I like what you did in the middle rounds.

I'd be pretty disappointed if we took a 2 down LB with our first pick.

McKinney has moved up boards with his proday. Watch out for the Patriots at the end of RD1 or even GB. A guy who can play inside or outside is a big commodity especially with not too many impact LBers in this draft.

Shaw right now is a top half of RD3 grade. Dallas RD2 pick is basically a RD3 grade pick.

So if you know about Ayaji's knee condition, why would you take him?

Because he's still young, and he's not suffering from it yet. But he will be down the line. He's still a talent i think Dallas plans on using this rookie contract window on its RB philosophies. And to be truthful to you, i wouldnt, but from what i have heard on radio and read in articles this team really likes him.

People on this forum know i like Odighizuwa and Cobb at RB. But its not about my likes. Its what i can see happening on the teams wants. Theyre high on McKinney, Ajayi and Shaw. With this Mock i made the picks in terms of who they had visited with up until this point. Some i like and some i dont.

I don't see the Cowboys drafting McKinney at that point either.

The Cowboys use 2 LBers more often than they use 3.

I don't see the guy being a good value (no matter what he did on his pro day) here or filling a critical need.

I don't have a problem with the Shaw pick.

I could see a scenario where Ayaji drops. Leary dropped from being a potential 3rd round pick to an undrafted FA because of his knee.

That is why it is hard to do a mock for the Cowboys, mainly because they are very obvious about their intentions and who they like. Just depends on what you are doing the mock for. To be right on predicting the team's drafting behavior or projecting how your personal favorites would go.

He would be used a little like Wilber is when all the LBers are healthy. Sometimes LB, sometimes down. There is a reason they sent Lett to work him out, it was more about his pass rush than the LB utility.

With word being Dallas would implement the OTTO spot i can alot more Rush oppurtunities for a play like McKinney who loves blitzing. Like the way the seahwks use bruce irvin.

I think the Cowboys envision McKinney in an occasional Spencer role at times. Nickle rush with ability to drop into coverage lanes.

I'm sure there's some merit to what you posted.

He's apparently a better athlete than he is a football player, hence he was able to show well at his pro day.

But in my view if you want someone that can provide pass rush then get a guy who's spent his college career as a pass rusher.

I could see a "project" guy in the 4th round, but not this high up.

so id Ayaji has bone on bone knee prob;ems why draft him?

Because it probably is not the case, just exaggerated. Hard to think of this just being "discovered" during a visit. If his knees were shot, it would have been coming out long before two weeks out from the draft.

Is there something there? Probably. His knees might be dirty, but you do not play at the level he did and not hear about him resting, icing his knees constantly and so on.

Honestly, if I can get a back to perform at a high level for his first contract, I do not care about his shelf life. Just get another one.

Again, the guy sounds like a project.

Do that in round 4.
