I, for one, was impressed with the maturity and humanity of this site--whether they had to censor 1 message or 1,000. It's too bad people feel the need to drag anyone's name through the dirt. Does it make you feel better about yourself to write on a message board that Taylor wasn't a saint?

He made mistakes and choices he shouldn't have, but he was a human being and thus his death was a tragedy. If you had a relative who had made bad decisions, what would you think about some message-board idiot who didn't even know him trashing his reputation after his death (not to mention before his death...).

I despise PC, but when did common decency become PC?

I'm quite sure that many of you have been drunk or have been into a fight. Just because you didn't get caught by the cops doesn't make you a saint, it means that you were blessed and you were granted grace and mercy. Leave it alone!

True story.

I find it humorous that the thread starter himself often takes the time to tell others what he believes they should be posting on this site, and is quick to ridicule when people get outside of what he wants to read or see - but here wants to whine about "moderating for content".

That's right - I'm thinking of turning this thread into a "Who is the hottest superheroine" thread. Don't test me...

I have no problem with anything the OP has stated.

He made his feelings known in a very constructive manner.

I have no idea who this is. I do take issue that whoever made that site spelled color with a "u" in it, so I'm afraid we can't award the title to Isis.

You don't know who Isis is?? Wow!! She was out during the Shazam era, and the Superfriends.........She was one of my childhood crushes

I used to get my mom's jewelry and put it on my head like Isis' outfit. She was the coolest. <3

Being on the other side of the Mod fence I can tell you that it's not an easy job and you often do things to keep other things from happening. There is a ton of judgement involved and these fine folks keep the board running smoothly because of the decisions they make.

So if something seems like over moderation it may be that they are deleting a post to keep something from snow balling out of control. Plus let's face it we have a lot of people on this board that will say things here that they never would in real life. The personal attacks on Rob Petities dad represent the prime example of that.

I never said he deserved death but his actions may have led to his death. Learn to distinguish between the two. I don't have a problem with people saying nice things about him as long as it is accurate. Yes, he was trying to change his life but he was also involved in many bad things and we don't know if he truly did all he could to avoid the situation like moving or hiring bodyguards. We also can't say he completely changed. He was probably more mature with the birth of his daughter but why does it have to be one of two extremes? Couldn't he have matured more but still have been immature about certain issues like overvaluing his pride and failing to respond to the the threats when he should have swallowed his pride and moved his family out of Miami after the first incident? I do have a problem with morons like yourself who are also in denial about the fact his past actions may have led to his death. This incident should a warning and a lesson from which others can learn from. Instead, I see it as being nothing but a cheap sentimental moment for simple minded people like yourself to get off on temporarily

Now you're talking about things he could have and should have done, which means absolutely nothing at this point. No one is denying that his past COULD have led to his death, that isn't even the issue, which you are failing to grasp for whatever reason.

No one needs to you point out the life lesson to be heard here. No one needs you to bring up the obvious point that he had been in trouble earlier in his life. It's not about being sentimental. It's about being respectful, something you clearly don't understand.

Maybe you've got all the answers, maybe you're a better person that he was and have somehow earned to right to condemn another man's actions after he already paid the ultimate price, but I doubt it.

Give me a break. So if this guy that did it goes away to jail and gets out on good behavior in say 19 years is all forgiven by taylors friends and family? Thank you who sounds like a moron?

I almost didn't respond to this since the analogy is so vapid, but what is your point? In your entirely fictional scenario (I'm dealing with reality, sorry if that was beyond you), would the guy have to be murdered on the street AFTER his jail term for there to be sunshine in the world again? You think if they catch the guy and put him in the chair tonight, the Taylor family will go back to their normal lives and feel like nothing happened?

When you live in this nation, you agree to abide by the law and the court systems enforcement of those laws. It's not always right, and it's not always fair, it doesn't always make things right, but it's there for a reason.

The last 24 hours were not the time for that discussion, IMO... but maybe we're coming up on that time...

I agree. My feeling is that the last day or so was a sort of memorial. You'd have to be an obnoxious azzhole to go to a funeral and spew criticism of the deceased. Save it for later.
