1st: Brandon Spikes ILB Florida

Yet another LB in the first round. However, this guy is a play maker. Good in coverage super talented stops the run and can rush the passer. I don't know who James replacement is but this is a clear candidate.

2nd:Jason Fox OT Miami

Big time OT from a Big Time college. Protecting the back side of his QB.

3rd: Vince Oghobaase DT Duke
I love Rat he has no back up. This guy is big strong has a quick burst. Can hold up against double teams. Is an anchor. Can rush the passer also.

4th: Myron Rolle SS FSU

Dude is a baller. Playmaker back there. He will be great and a steal in the 4th.

6th: Ryan Wolfe WR UNLV
I would want a WR earlier than the 6th round. But their are more important areas I feel. Even though the #1 WR spot is very much uncertain.I think this Wolfe guy has the tools and size and ability to be a #1. 6-2 210lbs
289 catches 2,735 yards 13 TD's in his career. He may not come from a big time college or a team that's ranked high but this kid seems very legit.

7th: Cody Slate FB Marshall
More than just a blocker. He is a legit receiving threat out of the back field. Which adds a another dimension to the offense. I hate Anderson.

Just so you know Cody Slate is more of a Pass Catching TE than a FB. At least he was prior to this year. I have not got to see the Marshall games this year as they have not shown but one in my area.

Very good Pass Catching TE though and I don't think that is really what we need right now.

Yeah I figured as much from his stats and when I read more about him he was a TE they said but he's listed as a FB on nfldraftscout and I got lazy in the 7th round :p:

He is a pretty good pass catching TE though. At one time the only thing they had on offense was Ahmad Bradshaw (RB now with the Giants) and Slate...after bradshaw left, well...Slate.

Why is Bradie being replaced? The dude is a 28 year old LB in his prime..

But that last pick is legittt!!! Slate!!!

because he sucks and is a liability in the passing game unless he's blitzing.

oh boy...if replacing Bradie James is #1 on your priority list then we got bigger problems than I imagined.

Replacing Bradie James should be the least of our worries

We have a safety situation in complete shambles. We have no deep threat at WR or playmaker. We have zero backup O-lineman and need to get younger there.Plus Jason Williams could be the future starting ILB along with Bradie.

If you look at it by position ...

QB - McGee gets 2 to 3 years to show he has something. Unless, we stink up this year & it's obvious Romo can't do it & a no-brainer rookie is available with our pick

RB - You should never pass up talent but we have Barber, Choice, and Felix. We are good here.

FB - Deon Anderson could use a challenge but as of now we have 6 picks and way too many holes.

TE - No, no, no.

WR - Good Lord yes. Please. Talent is needed here. I know many thought Miles Austin would be the guy but I just don't see it.

OL - Depth and possibly an immediate need at LT if Flozell keeps deteriorating at his current rate.

DL - Could become a major need if Spears, Hatcher, and Bowen all hit Free Agency. A massive NT to back up Ratliff would help too.

LB - Really shouldn't be. I know some want a young stud ILB and if one falls to us, then maybe. You should consider the fact that Stephen Hodge and Brandon Williams will be basically be rookies next year.

DB - Safety is a no-brainer. We need to get athletic. Even if Michael Hamlin comes through, he's a SS. We need a centerfielder. CB depth is needed as well.

I don't put as much stock into the WR position as i do others. Spikes is a player who will elevate our defense. Spikes and williams together would be scary. Also Jason Fox at LT Brewster at RT. We'd have the bright dude on the practice squad i believe. Just remember we've had a deep threat at WR before although our offense was good our D was lacking and still is. Running the ball and stopping the run wins games.

I just don't even see Spikes being a possibility. Great player, but he would be a luxury pick. Bradie is pretty damn good ILB and is only 28 years old. Brooking shows he hasn't slowed down and could be good in 2010. Jason Williams is a stud and I don't want to block his progress and remember Stephen Hodge is that ILB/S hybrid.

With all the holes on this team,Spikes is a luxury. It would be like drafting Jermaine Gresham. There's absolutly no need.

shouldn't Spikes replace our Keith Brooking who's gonna be turning 34 in a few weeks?

You're under the assumption that Bradie James isn`t a weakness and that a speed WR will auto transform us into a great. When the reality is he sucks in coverage and is decent agaisnt the run. It's rather asnine for you to be satisfied with James play. When has he made a play in the running game or passing game. Dude is average at best LoL all he does is make a tackle 5-7 yards town the field pass coverage??? LoL forget about it.

@Rampage Spikes at SILB Williams at WILB or you can swap either no differnce in my book.

As much as I love Bradie he does suck at coverage. But right now he is the leader of that D and those guys are hard to replace. For the most part the SS in this 3-4 covers alot of the TEs and the inside backers contain their gaps for the run.

we should lock up an OT, S, CB, WR, 2 DL (NT & DE), DE-converted to OLB for this yrs draft.

We have 6 pick. The dude is on the field 2 plays can't be a leader from the sideline

We should have more, not sure how the UFA thing works but we should have compensatory picks I think?

And if we plan on drafting Brady's replacement we should probably try to trade him.

If we couldn't get anything for TO are we really going to get something for James?

I did say try and we did trade Henry for a better backup QB...we just need to have more 3 down players on the D w/ quality backups.

Honestly I hope we go back to the 4-3 if "fatty" gets fired this yr. I see alot of players on this D that are STILL trying to play positions they never have in college and are not at the developed level they should be.

Are you serious right now?

You do know that Bradie is a 3 down linebacker right?

I have no earthly idea why you want to replace Bradie James who is probowl worthy and is in his prime. It's just mind boggling.
