My frustration with the 2012 draft reached a boiling point last night

No one on the Eagles defense impressed me last night outside of Kendricks. Our line held up and NO's line will do the same with Brees picking them apart.

What's funny is that Zordon was one of the ones claiming that all our Giants turnovers were "lucky." But I guess if another team's db catches a ball thrown straight to him, it's not luck, it's "awareness."

I forgot all about that lol. Its only luck if it comes from the Cowboys.

I actually wasn't one of them. I was one of the few that agreed with you about the luck angle.

Yea I agree with that. Kendricks was showing out. His speed at that size is pretty impressive.

2012 may turn into a 2009 draft all over again, and one of the main reasons why this team is average.

I doubt it. Even if Claiborne only becomes a decent corner, at least we got something, as opposed to that abomination in 2009.

One draft doesn't ruin you but yes the 2012 class gets an F from me.

I think it's impossible to have a good draft when you trade 1st and 2nd round picks for a cornerback. So I expected this.

Rarely saw or heard about Claiborne last night, that is a good thing for corners. I remember maybe one completion to Cooper on him. No complaints from me. Crawford has been out for the season. What did you expect?

Thankfully Heath was diving on grenades for everyone by letting anyone and everyone beat him senseless.

so, when we heard their 4th round CB had made a game-ending interception, that was a bad thing for the eagles?

gotcha

No that is not what I said. But if you think Claiborne had a bad game last night then who are you to question anything this organization does going forward.

Our obsession with these "rudy" types got us Wilber, Matt Johnson and Caleb McSurdy!!!! .

Wilber is a 4th round pick that looks like he established himself as a starter in his second season. Johnson has been hurt. Do we really expect immediate Pro Bowls from two 4th rounders and a 7th?

The eagles game plan was clearly to attack Heath and the linebackers in coverage and has been an effective gameplan all season against us with Carter, who I loved going into this season, getting abused just as much.

(Not directed at Hoofbite) But for anyone to blame Claiborne last night for the game for not getting a pick, in comparison to Boykin who Orton hit right in the damn chest, is completely absurd, but expected from a bunch of armchair GMs with kneejerk reactions looking for someone to blame and something to complain about. Let Mo get a healthy season in and then critique him all you want and eat some crow when you are wrong.

I don't disagree with your point. We need more out of the 2012 draft.

But pump the breaks on Kendricks. The Collinsworth hype machine will do wonders for a player. He gushed equally as much over Bruce Carter against the Falcons.

Would it shock you to know that Kendricks grades out as a -10 this year by PFF (-11 last year).

Kendricks has been pretty worthless up until the last few weeks, which most likely will turn out to be more circumstance than anything.

I still think the guy hasn't proven squat.

Comparing our '12 draft with the Eagles '12 draft just made me sick to my stomach, I almost checked myself into Parkland Hospital last night.

You want to know why we suck every year? Throw away the myth that the draft is improving with Garrett just look at '12.

Trade up for a cornerback who can't make a play if his life and his family's lives depended on it. Meanwhile the Eagles get a game sealing interception from their 4TH ROUND PICK that year in Boykins.

While we have dime a dozen players like Wilber and Hanna to show for our mid/late picks, the Eagles got a STUD ferocious linebacker in Kendricks in the 2nd rd. That guy will be in the Pro Bowl soon while Carter continues to voluntarily run into blockers. Our 2nd round pick was right before the Kendricks pick, we could have had him but of course we went with the flashy pick that lives in the training room.

Add to the fact that they didn't wait till their QB was decrepit to find their replacement in the 3rd round and added to the trenches in round 1, it's easy to see why we are outclassed every year.

Our obsession with these "rudy" types got us Wilber, Matt Johnson and Caleb McSurdy!!!! LOL freaking McSurdy when you had Vontaze Burfict (top 3 linebacker in the league) waiting there for you but these imbeciles went with the Montana Muscle.

That draft ruined us.

Must be the bad crab meat.

It's the system. The culture. The coaching.....

Not the players.....well, The players are a reflection of all that....
