My guess is this team goes 8-8; If we do should they trade up for a QB?

Gotta get a replacement for Romo. He does not have that many years left. I don't know if any real good QBs are in next years draft but trading up will be easier with a mid round pick. Should they do it?

Who are the QBs worth trading up for?

Hackenberg, the golden boy a year or so ago, looks like a hot mess right now. Goff?

Like I said I don't know who is available in next years draft.

I am almost at the point where I don't want us to draft a 1st round QB. I think we should strengthen defense and RB first, those two things have proven to be a winning formula for the Superbowl.

I'd like to see how this season plays out before draft talk.

Our defense could only hold on for so long.

They kept us in the game almost the entire night but you can only run and punt on offense for so long before the defense caves.

RB? We can't even call plays to get the 8th guy out of the box right now either.

Whats the point of drafting a RB if we're just going to slam them into a wall every play.

Yes the first pick wherever it is needs to be a QB. At worst draft a QB in the first 2 rounds. This team needs to start looking at Romo's successor and backup while he is still playing. We can't afford to have a scrub backup at this point.

8-8 would be a miracle...I see 6-10. And outside of Goff, there are no good QBs but Goff probably goes Top-3 overall to the Bears or Texans

If the Cowboys feel a QB in the draft is a top 10 QB and if they can get that QB, they need to do it. I think some people think, when the Cowboys draft a QB, that we will be set there. It doesn't happen that way, top 10 QB's very rarely come into the draft. TEams like Houston, Washington, Kansas City, NY Jets, ETC have been looking for that QB for decades. And in the NFL today, if you do not have a top 10ish QB, you really have no shot at a title (unless there is an extreme outlier). And I think it is safe to say, with this organization we should not rely on that outlier.

Having an elite QB has also proven to be a pretty reliable formula for winning the Super Bowl.

Is it too much to wait and see the final record and wait until closer to the draft so we see what QBs will be available and where?

I don't want to reach again for someone like we did last time just because they felt it was a need. Just in case someone forgets...QC.

They've got a few more pressing issues than a QB.

Like at least one safety that can tackle in open space.
Some stouter DE's that can anchor the edge against off tackle runs.
A RB that will hit the hole with authority rather than tip toeing between lineman.
A kick returner.

I called 8-8 when Romo went down, and jobberone called me a troll. Now, I think 7-9 will be more likely.

Dang I'm such a troll

We need to find the guy for after Romo for sure...but I don't want to reach for the guy either. We don't need another run like we had after Aikman.

Big leap. See RGIII for how that can really mess a team up.
