Trade 13 to Miami for 18 and 50- Slater is still on the board at 10 and Miami continues to be aggressive and adds an elite o-line prospect after taking a WR at 6.
18- Jaelan Phillips DE Miami
44- Eric Stokes CB Georgia
50- Daviyon Nixon DT Iowa
75- Jamar Johnson FS Indiana
99- Brady Christensen OT BYU
115- Jamie Newman QB Wake Forest
138- Isiah McDuffie LB Boston College
179- Dylan Shoener TE Iowa State
No better way to improve the D than to get after the QB, and Phillips and Nixon are great at that. Both have elite physical traits to rush the passer with potential that is still untapped. Adding these 2 to the front 4 makes things MUCH different for our D.
Pair those pass rushers with a CB with elite size and speed that’s been battle tested for 3 years in the SEC in Stokes and the D has made significant strides.
Johnson is an ascending prospect that represents a possible future starter at FS, a position that is still very much in flux.
Christensen is a very underrated OT prospect that presents LT upside in the near future. Zach Wilson has such pretty highlights because he had all day to throw, many thanks to Christensen.
Newman has plenty of experience and enough NFL traits to make him a solid NFL backup capable of starting a few games if need. Very important to fill this role well and for cheap.
McDuffie is a typical hard nosed prospect from BC. Has enough athletic ability to hang in the nfl as depth and special teams contributor at worst
Shoener is a gigantic 6’6 270 blocking TE that can do that job early and often. Blake Bell replacement.
