I really like Smith at OT....very good chance of plugging him in at Right Tackle and he and Free should be good to go for the next 7 years. Forget Peterson....dude is gonna get bigger and have to transition to safety in 2-3 years.....As Deon Sanders said...EVERY NFL guy gains weight as they get older, do we want to risk it with this kid? I really don't think so. Hope we're smart about this on Thursday.

Dez weighed 225 when they drafted him. Are you afraid that he will end up a TE in a few years? After the Cowboys drafted Dez they told him to drop weight, happens all the time.

i'm okay with trading up for Peterson because I think he can be a gamechanger. Don't foresee Tyron Smith being a gamechanger. Heck, Dareus would be more of a gamechanger than Smith IMO. If we're going to draft a OL, we're IDIOTIC not to trade down and pick up an extra pick or two. I just don't see a ton of difference between the top 4 OTs. Smith is a little more athletic and has a little more upside, Costanzo, Carimi, and Sherrod are likely anchors as RTs, one or two of them may be able to play LT.

The thing is that im not so sure we shouldn't put him @ Safety from day 1.


Of course I value that position more than the Cowboys do.
