My Offseason

Probably not, but if they were going to pay a 1tech, one with 11.5 sacks would be the type they would want.
I’d say it’s almost more likely he doesn’t total 11.5 sacks combined for the rest of his career, than he matches that 11.5 in a season a 2nd time. It was an enigma not a norm!

I agree with that, but it highlights the fact that he plays about 90% of snaps when most run plugger type 1techs play less than 60%.

And giving the Skins the business they gave Dallas with Amari would be sweet for ole Jerrah.
Dallas never wanted to pay Amari 20M AAV or 100M total but had to match the Skins.
Forced Dallas hand knowing they had WR contracts coming.

Now Dallas can return favor and say pay Payne a full Franchise tag, give him 20M AAV or we will sign him.
WFT knows they have big money deals coming along that line and signed a monster deal last year with Allen.

That is the real issue.
He is eating major snaps thus making him worth a ton of cash.
He plays 85% of snaps in Dallas next to Micah and this DL?
He is going to get his sacks.

Right, but then you’re still talking about paying him for sacks that he got while playing for another team. With Quinn’s obsession with substituting what are the chances of him playing 84% of the snaps here!

How often did Quinn substitute for Micah Parsons?

Quinn rotates other players because those players are either good vs run or vs pass.

Parsons played 80.1, doesn’t weight 330 and if I remember correctly numerous people here were complaining that he was worn down too much the last 1/3rd of the season!

Gallup is going to be restructured, his contract was specifically written with that express purpose in mind for this season. I’d kick the can with bringing in Edwards (eagles) pairing him with Clark…. Let Vander Esch walk. At best your hoping for Derrick Nandi, there’s ain’t no way they’re coming close to paying what Payne is going to get… hell, they wouldn’t do it for a 3tech. Talking about it is silly and setting oneself up for disappointment!
Yet here you are talking bout it.

Too many are up for contract, and the Dak one is going to keep them from keeping guys like Wilson.
No he wont. They can free up 24mil with daks expected extension, it's crazy just how much fans of its own team don't know how this team operates with contracts. Shameful

You are doing (2) things with that. Kicking the can down the road, and prolonging the Dak experiment.

No you're not because they don't plan on releasing ir trading dak. So it's literally just making room to get him weapons to use in those yrs. There is no kicking of the can if you plan on keeping the player. Come on dude get it together

Why would they keep Wilson? He’s an “in the box safety” with average coverage skills. We have Kearse, Mukuamo, who really came on the second half of the season, and Bell who they carried on the roster all last season that are basically the same player. Can’t get emotional and Wilson is nothing special!

Well when you come into a thread saying that and stay in the thread. You have to expect that response.
Eh, no, I would expect those who are rational and reasonable to at least consider that voice of reason. Jerry dropping an 80m plus contract on a 1tech is about as likely as him donating all his acquired wealth and taking a vow of poverty!

You are with his cap hits. You are 100% married to him. I forgot about your undying love for Dak.

11.5 sacks

You know exactly zero bout me. I've been critical of dak and his last game. I wouldn't be mad if they drafted a qb to compete with him.

And idk if you haven't been listening hut Stephen is basically telling you dak his the Cowboys qb. So like it or move on. Because he's not going anywhere.

11.5 sacks
Lol, hmmm….he averaged 3.5 in his first 4 seasons and then tripled that in his contract year. The likelihood of him coming close to that again are virtually nonexistent, especially if he reverts back to playing within the scheme. I don’t think Jerry is all that interested in paying him for the sacks he acquired while playing for another team!!!
