I thought Henson looked really good today...And I not talking about just passing numbers.

I liked the way he moved around and hit some guys in stride.

Looks like he could be coming around...I hope!:star:

I wonder what it would take for people to say he had an average or bad game. Bamboo shoots?
Nah. Stat wise he had an average game. But watch him in action you can tell he is getting better and feeling more confident.

This was not a Stat game for Henson...But if you watched it you could see Henson coming around.

Despite the effort of Henson haters to drag him down and critize him to the ends of the earth, Henson is getting better.

The announcers even said that Z. Smith commented that he is light years ahead of where he was two years ago.

Henson is playing very well. I think he going to be fine. He just needs to play.

I thought the other team seemed to be playing the pass more and disguise what they were doing more than the other two teams. Also his receivers weren't getting the separation they had been getting. Saying that he seemed to be aiming again except for a few passes. But he moved better than I have seen him. He is playing and it seems he is getting more and more comfortable, and that, IMO, is the most important thing. He also took some hits and kept going. All this he can build on. I really would like to see him get to the point in this NFLE experience that he is just playing on instinct and not thinking. If he does that I will be happy.

Good comments rw54. I commented earlier that it was going to be more of a challenge for Henson as the opposition got some film to work with. The Fire is still a decent team however and Henson has a decent O-Line and running game to work with. The opposition had a better defensive game plan today and he still had a decent (not great) day.

Unfortunately I don't have NFL Network so I having to take you guys at you work on Drew's game. The one thing he definitely has over CH is attitude. Drew knows he's not ready for the NFL and wanted to go to NFLE. It sounds like he has the tools and the experience is coming. He won't be BP's qb, but could very well be the next coach's.

That was the best pass dfense he will face all year. They showed a stat and I believe the opposing Qb's completion percentage was less that 40%, until today.

He looks better every week. the guy really is mobile, but in an Elway type way. He also has quite a gun. I'm not sure he will ever be as good of a pure passer as Bledsoe is (not many are), but his mobility and ability to move around and sense the pressure could make him a good QB some day. Maybe, someday soon.

We all have our opinions the commentators have theirs what matters is what the Cowboys organization thinks (Jones and Parcells), so he can look good and not look good to us, as did Hutch to a lot of you.

I know the numbers won't indicate it, but I really believe that this was Henson's best game yet. The things that concerned me most about him are beginning to show signs of going away.

He improvised today. The deep crossing pattern completion to Zuriel Smith was after Henson had moved around a bit. The TD pass today was a check down. He showed good escapability and for the first time that I've seen him, since he went pro, he showed a feel that pressure was coming.

Threw some high velocity passes today. Still needs to work on his touch and deep throws.

Again, in my opinion, best game he has played so far.
I absolutly agree. I think this is Henson best performance since joining the Cowboys (I don't count the Ravens game, they were up by 20 plus and the post game comments from certain key players in the Raven's secondary pretty much confirmed they were thinking about the post game buffet).

I don't really care about stats when it comes to QBs developing, plus things like touch passes and down field accuracy.......driving the ball down field can get better with time in system and familiarity with personnel.

What got me during this game and kept me watching (I hate NFLE) is that Henson was playing with passion (in the past he's looked the part). After watching the 1st couple of series his coaches quote from a week or two ago popped back in my mind. His coach expressed how Henson had to start playing like he was in the back yard. How he needs to start having fun.

Henson looked like he wasn't thinking out there. He looked more fluid, natural and made instinctful plays. He made quick decisions. Even his mistakes looked delibarate and should decrease with more playing time and practice.

I think he got his swagger back (atleast a bit of it). He took some heavy shots in this game and when the pocket broke down a couple of plays later he was confident enough to turn his back on on-coming defenders, spin and buy time, albeit against inferior talent, but you've got to start somewhere.

I am happy too that he's finally decided threaten defenses with his running ability ala Jeff Hostetler. Jeff always made a nifty run here or there that was totally unexpected and threw defense off. Its much better that standing back there in the pocket looking robotic (trying to check down).

IMHO best showing by Henson, maybe the Cologne defender mouthing off got Henson's attention.

I don't really care about stats in NFLE.........Jake Delhomme infectious moxie and gun slinging mentally carried his team to the World bowl. I hope Henson can have more games like this past Saturday.

Something else that I wanted to mention, and please take this in context because I, like all of us, don't know if Henson will ever turn out or not. But I was watching an NFL Films piece on Quarterbacks and noticed someone who threw alot like Henson. Strangely enough, Sonny Jurgenson. Very much the same body position when getting ready to throw, the long delivery, etc. Again, I'm not saying Henson is Sonny Jurgenson, but it was just a good reminder that you can be a good quarterback and not have the picture perfect compact delivery of Troy Aikman.

So I guess that means that you feel the "project" of developing a QB has failed with Drew Henson, even though he hasnt had his fair share of snaps in the NFL?

Just curious what you base that on?

That was the first time I seen Charles give Henson any props...But Charles was right it looked a lot less robotic and much more fluid
