They wanted him large part due to his initial value as a prospect. Cooper's was literally zero. Rush is much closer to Hundley than he is to Jimmy G.

U mean Hundley who doesnt even play in preseason games? Where Rush is already cemented as the backup? Dallas is in a great place at QB.

Uh... Hundley completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 186 yards and ran 5 times with one TD just this past week against Denver.
If you had credibility, it would take a hit here. But you don't, so it's all good.

Regarding Dallas players - With your track record, they can start the Xavier Woods Hall of Fame talk right now.

But even that they dominated a very good front 7 in the raiders. One of the best sack teams in the nfl and Dak had huge pockets with no pressure on him.

Great post. I agree with most of it, but did want to point out that Oakland was last in the league in sacks last year. I was surprised when the commentators mentioned that on Saturday night, particularly given that Mack was defensive MVP.

another excuse for the bag of excuses. People still use that excuse for wilcox?
Yeah Wilcox was a little dumb. Another reason that comparison doesn't make any sense. Sham has said that Woods is a very cerebral guy.

Dallas has a glaring hole and that's the same weakness since Darren Woodson retired. Dallas just doesnt have a S who can make plays. Who can change the tide against the passing game. Byron Jones just isnt that guy, as much as the team wants him to be that guy he doesnt have the ability to do it. Heath is making mistakes made by a guy who is being asked to start for the first yr. Yes, he played his rookie yr but he was asked to fill in. Its his job and you can tell he's a little overwhelmed right now.

I like your post. Very good overview to me anyways. This team has needed a hard hitting/ball-hawking Ed Reed type safety for 10+ years!....not seeing it with anyone who is currently there. I like what I've seen from Woods but he has a long ways to go. I think the safety play will keep other teams in games against us. I hope I am wrong but from what I've seen so far it's an obvious glaring problem.

yup but when the games on the line they were the best. Last yr there wasnt a team better who got the sacks when they needed to. Those that get raider games in their area know what im talking bout. Those looking at stats dont.

Id rather have a guy who can just take the ball away then be a big hitter. Because a hitting safety is alot more likely to get you a flag with that hit with todays rules. I would pick Collins or Berry over Chancellor anyday

alot easier to make mistakes too dont you think?

And more opportunities to make up for those mistakes as well.

Point is, it's wrong to dismiss a late round player before the end of preseason.

IM not dismissing him because he's a late round guy, im dismissing him because he hasnt done squat, and has been able to stay on the field to do squat.

Right. So let's just cut him right now.... smh
I guess with that logic we should cut Lewis and Awuzie as well.

I gotta say, Taco's potential really has me excited. Ever since he got called out he's responded. Doesn't he have like 3 sacks this preseason?

Took Woody three years before he began to stand out. Offenses are a lot more complicated than they were back then I'd give Jones a little more time

I hate when people say things that have no foundation in reality. Woodson started in his second year and set a franchise record for tackles for a DB.
