Looked like defense, run game and fortunate turnovers were the recipe for the other overpaid bus driver to win a game too.
We won. So let's whine.

I’ve never seen another Qb in the league being paid 40 million a year and utilized by throwing so many safe, high percentage passes……25 attempts and 190 net passing.
can’t do that all season long, especially in the playoffs and have success. His performance was no better than Cooper Rushs 200+ yard games……and it should be, against the WORST defense in the league
save it for eagles 2 and the playoffs..we should hide him until then LOLIt's hard to win in this league, just look what happened to the Bucs today. Just stack up wins, nobody cares how you got them come December.
-Turpin almost does it every week, he is going to get a TD at some point.

Exactly. Some people act like he is playing as poorly as he did the last two years. It is bizarre how they watch a bargain basement guy play every down and do a decent job and think he is the problem. He has been OK this year. Not great, not horrible. But in a cap world he is the exact type of player you need to succeed. He has outplayed Barr. Why Barr doesn't get the same attacks on a weekly basis must be based on preconceived notions coming into the season. I didn't want to re-sign LVE after how he played the last couple of years, but now I'm glad we did. Maybe one of the kids steps up and takes his job, but until then he's doing fine and for anyone to think he played so poorly this past week that he should be benched just makes me wonder what they are watching. But every week there is another LVE hate thread.
He's only making 2mil this year. He's a deal.
Stop with all the outside runs would help in short yardage.I think we have a blocking scheme problem in Dallas. Pollard being quicker to see and hit gaps help him excel but I see a lot of problems with DC blocking schemes that if improved would open the world up for Zeke and Pollard.
Not enough time being spent learning the blocking schemes, you can really see it every time we try a screen.
The calls of 3rd and short were terrible, run Zeke up the middle, stop getting cute and calling all these outside runs. Ugly cause it was 10-6 close to the 4th quarter. Yes, the Lions aren't as bad as their record would indicate, Philly only beat them by 3 points.I am confused by the term, "Ugly." I believe a lot of us were talking about the fact that Detroit is much better than their record. The media confirmed Sunday before the games as well. They have a decent offense and our D kept them in check. We all should have known that Dak was going to be rusty. The question was just how rusty he'd be. As the game went on, he got better...seemed to move better as well. This is a great sign. All in all, I'll take it. Seriously, I wrote this team off after the first game this year but was pleasantly surprised on how nice the D has done and then how the offense rallied around Cooper.
Now if Moore CAN JUST STOP CALLING THOSE FREAKING GADGET PLAYS AND STOP PLACING ZEKE 10 YARDS BEHIND THE BALL ON A 3RD AND 1, I'll feel alot better...
I think Dak played fine. Does the game change on Noah's fumble - I think it does a lot - that was a long drive to end up with nothing. Thankfully the Lions returned the favor. I think the team (offense) played pretty poorly for 75% of the game. They did not seem to feel the need to step up liek they did with Rush! That's an 8.3 ypa...that's pretty good.
Rush best game was 8.3...lmao. his other games were 4-7.
Allen is averaging 8.3 himself(highest ypa in the league btw) Guess he is taking it too safe?
That's 36 attemps for 300 yards...that is actually the best in the league.
Qb play is down big time across the league. It's not just dak.
I am a Dak supporter, always have been, why would you say I want Rush starting over him?
114 QBR is not ugly he still the best qb in the east IMHO,,facts go lookup stats on other nfce qbs if that matters show much like Hurts 155 yards and 4 sacks played us. somehow when they win this way and NYG with Jones paying lie this its great Rush plays like this uts great Dak has zero TOS 114 QBR and hes ugly??Let me ask y’all something. Was it just me or was the playcalling strange. Moore stuck with the balanced game plan. We had the number of runs needed. But on 3rd down he would call stretch plays instead up the middle.
The play calling just seemed to have no rhythm to it. Dak will get more accurate. I figured this game would be ugly.

I said it was a ugly win. The only mistakes I saw from Dak was opening play. Wide open receiver and he was to excited. Over throw on a play that was at least in FG If not 6. Held on to it a few times which could have been the result of Moore calling a long developing play. Always complain Moore never calls outside run plays so yesterday he calls a few but on 3rd and short. Dumb call IMO.114 QBR is not ugly he still the best qb in the east IMHO,,facts go lookup stats on other nfce qbs if that matters show much like Hurts 155 yards and 4 sacks played us. somehow when they win this way and NYG with Jones paying lie this its great Rush plays like this uts great Dak has zero TOS 114 QBR and hes ugly??

Offense
-Thought the OL really struggle today. Hutchinson gave both our Tackles a lot of trouble all day long. Okudah was also very good today in both the run and the pass.
-Yes, Dak was rusty, but he improved as the game wore on.
-Biggest disappointment was the team's inability to convert many 3rd and shorts. Don't understand, why not just run Zeke up the middle, but Moore gets way too cute. Once the Cowboys got the run game going, they had sustained drives.
-Dalton Shultz is a much better receiver with Dak at QB, thought he had a quality game as a receiver.
-Penalties were an issue today, especially the presnap ones.
-The Noah Brown Fumble was huge prior to the end of the 1st half.
Defense
-Even with Swift out, the DL struggled with containing the run. They ran right down our throats late in the 3rd quarter that should of led to a TD. This continues to be a concern.
-Got a huge break when St. Brown left the game as he is their best receiver.
-Thought the Lions OL really was solid, until the Lions had to start passing to catchup. Both their Tackles were very stout.
-Sam Williams had his breakout game, with 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. He is slowly getting there.
-Parsons still has doesn't look right, think he is playing injured.
-Many killed Lve this week, but I thought he had one of his better games.
-Turnovers are why the Cowboys won this game, especially the one at the 1 yard line.
Special Teams
-Turpin almost does it every week, he is going to get a TD at some point.
Yeah those floaters that Rush was throwing in that Eagles game is not going to beat those two corners. He just doesn't have enough arm. Dak would be able to get it there quicker but than he has to throw it. Either way this team could use an upgrade at the QB position.Yeah, we did see some life in the offense when Rush was there. But we had big problems with him too. He throws all floaters. There is always a significant arc to all his passes. There were several passes against the Eagles that had he zipped that ball in, the Eagles defender would not be in time to break up the catch.
The other problem is his total lack of mobility. The Eagles were playing up on the WRs all game challenging Rush to go deep. He didn't have enough time in the pocket to get those passes off. I believe he would have had CD on that last play, but he got hit as he was throwing it.
I'm not a Dak fan. We have a couple of years left with Dak and this defense being what they are today. IF we win a SB, fantastic, but if not, I think we move on from Dak. Counting this year, I think we have a 3 year window. No reason to keep Dak beyond that.
But make no mistake, Dak is an upgrade over Cooper Rush. It may not be this big upgrade people hope or think it is, but it is an upgrade. We'd need a D like the '85 Bears or 2000 Ravens to win a SB with Cooper Rush.
-Win is a win, think the Lions are better then what their record indicates. Thanks for Sharing:
Star Up:
- Great game from the edge guys Parsons/Williams combo was staggering; and DLaw, Armstrong, Fowler major factors.
- Lamb had spots and moments; Brown showed up more than Gallup
- Turpin – he’s electrifying returner; I hold my breath every time he gains momentum-Will eventually break it for TD
- RBs were productive and major factors; per 139 yds rushing, 2 Zeke TDs,
- TEs – major factor in pass game e underneath, per Dalton/Hendershot (TD)
- Refs-officials calls seem to favor Cowboys; no look at Diggs Int ? missed block in back vs Turpin’s 51 yd pt. return (even Romo mumbled “Oh”)
- Despite fumble/block in back flag, Noah clearly outplayed/showed up vs Gallup
- McCarthy supposedly call for FG instead of 4th and 2; did not agree with Kellen play call.
- Defense took over Goff and forced game changing turnovers/sacks – only 6 total points vs Lions !
- Undervalued but kicker Maurer stays consistent with FGs/extra points; compared to Greg Z last year
- Look at Brady’s Bucs, & Rodgers Packers vs sorry teams loses; .. Any Wins counts !
Star Down
- Dak was clearly rusty after very limited play time in 2022; missed targets but took underneath
- Home fans should be ashamed for boo’ing their starting QB ! Disgusting
- Noah’s fumble block in the back,
- Anthony Brown is giving up too many catches; tackling suffered too
- Gallup zero catches and a drop; he’s still quite in an ACL recovery mode- maybe next year
- Tyler Smith, Steele had difficulty with rookie stud Hutchison; holding flags too for Tyler
- We ran just Ok, despite 139 yrds rushing- poor Lions defense were too much in our backfield
- Another zero game rookie Jalen Tolbert
- Kellen did stay with the run game but I continue to have problems with how he does Not scheme-use his RBs in pass game
- Our front D’ continues to get knocked off the ball vs run- what if Lions had RB Swift ?
- Only a mere 6 points from offense at halftime vs a lousy Lions defense ? - if Philly or playoffs foes ala Niners ..Trouble !
he would need a 10 ypa for that with only 25 passes. that is not realistic. it happens sometimes through a season, but it's not something you say your qb should do to win. burrow just threw for 500 yards with almost no misses and it was only 11 ypa...and got only 35 pts.
unless you mean they should call more pass plays? that will for sure happen if they go down a couple scores, but the lions were doing diddly poo.
he also could have passed at the goal line a couple more times to pad his td stats...is that what you want? take 2 1 yard td's from zeke and add them to dak...for 3 passing td's. woohoo, dak is good now with 3 td's 30 pass attempts and 250 yards(-50 from zeke/pollard). score is still 24-6 though.
