I’ve never seen another Qb in the league being paid 40 million a year and utilized by throwing so many safe, high percentage passes……25 attempts and 190 net passing.

can’t do that all season long, especially in the playoffs and have success. His performance was no better than Cooper Rushs 200+ yard games……and it should be, against the WORST defense in the league
Dak doesn't know where to go with the ball. Too much meat left out there.

Hey, I think I'm on your side. I rewatched some of the all 11 film and Dak played very efficiently. I would upgrade his performance to 8/10 if I had to grade it again. It was actually a very good outing given the limited amount of attempts he had. I think I got too caught up in the fact we only had 10 points in the 4th quarter, but that was somewhat the result of some bad breaks like the Noah Brown fumble.

I wouldn't mind if they threw the ball a few more times but the run game has been quietly efficient for most of the season and probably our best chance of really leaning on our defense and keeping them off the field.

We are going to need Dak to connect on a big pass play or two most games though if we are going to keep up with the really teams. I think he is very capable of this.

People scream "I hate stats" then want stats to justify an argument...again the offense was more effecient, and will continue to get better as we get Dak back into this ball control offense. KM even changed for the 2nd half, saw less empty shotgun and more zeke Pollard sets, this is what we need to help this defense be the center piece...people dont like Dak so they dont really care about winning its about the player. Dak is by far the best QB option on this current team, its really that simple.

But in a cap world he is the exact type of player you need to succeed.

LVE, Brown, Turpin, Hooker. Great signings.

In a capped league, you win when you keep signing players who outperform their contracts.

We've been amazing at finding value at the bottom end. Now if only we could stop wasting cap at the top end.

There's hyperbole on both sides of the Dak argument and as in life the answer lies somewhere in the middle.

The WEEK 7 'stats' are somewhat ambivalent towards Dak's performance. As is the way with Dak, his rating is higher percentile than his QBR which at 55 is pretty average. Even the RAW figure, which disregards weak opponent, puts Dak's performance as 7th.

This was a decent job vrs a limited Defense. Dak's shown time and time again that he can win this type of game, a game with a lead that he can wait on the defense tiring in the 4th. The challenges are going to be when he has to chase a game and is forced to move away from the run and find receivers in less than optimum space.

It's hard to win in this league, just look what happened to the Bucs today. Just stack up wins, nobody cares how you got them come December.

Offense

-Thought the OL really struggle today. Hutchinson gave both our Tackles a lot of trouble all day long. Okudah was also very good today in both the run and the pass.
-Yes, Dak was rusty, but he improved as the game wore on.
-Biggest disappointment was the team's inability to convert many 3rd and shorts. Don't understand, why not just run Zeke up the middle, but Moore gets way too cute. Once the Cowboys got the run game going, they had sustained drives.
-Dalton Shultz is a much better receiver with Dak at QB, thought he had a quality game as a receiver.
-Penalties were an issue today, especially the presnap ones.
-The Noah Brown Fumble was huge prior to the end of the 1st half.

Defense

-Even with Swift out, the DL struggled with containing the run. They ran right down our throats late in the 3rd quarter that should of led to a TD. This continues to be a concern.
-Got a huge break when St. Brown left the game as he is their best receiver.
-Thought the Lions OL really was solid, until the Lions had to start passing to catchup. Both their Tackles were very stout.
-Sam Williams had his breakout game, with 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. He is slowly getting there.
-Parsons still has doesn't look right, think he is playing injured.
-Many killed Lve this week, but I thought he had one of his better games.
-Turnovers are why the Cowboys won this game, especially the one at the 1 yard line.

Special Teams

-Turpin almost does it every week, he is going to get a TD at some point.
Detroit has arguably the best OL in football. That did show up at times for sure. Sewell, Hutch, Hockenson and Okudah were all recent top 10 picks.
That showed up on the field as they were easily the best Lions players.
The early run stuffing the Lions DL did versus us was quite impressive but again they had 2 weeks to prepare.
Lions OL eventually wilted under pressure to throw ball more than 5 yards down field as they got behind.

Parsons is definitely not 100% and that's probably true of most guys in week 7. This team can use the upcoming BYE week.

Dak's 1st throw was 5 yards too high but he really didn't make another really bad throw all day and showed accuracy, touch at times and zip on the ball.
Even the almost INT was placed perfectly right on CeeDee's chest which is why it wasn't picked by a Safety that had read it all the way.
But he did hold the ball too long a few times and you hold your breath when he is sacked because with a broken thumb he could certainly fumble at high rates.
Would like to see him steal a page from Goff and get the ball out quicker even if it means a little less zip. --then again Goff's lack of zip created 2 INT.

-Agree Detroit's OL might be the best we faced. Not only did they run well, but held up in pass protection before they needed to pass to catch up late.
-Thought Dak got better as the game wore on, where in the 4th Quarter looked like himself.
-Dak has to get rid of the football quicker or he won't hold up as our OL is playing 2 prospects at the Tackle position.

Being the best option is correct but that just tells me this team needs a QB because he is not the answer.

If he can deliver on a high effeciency level in this offense while this defense does its thing we can win.....and Winning is the answer.
