I told everybody that this game wasnt going to be 2013. Dallas pounded that defense into the ground. The OL demoralized the Saints defense by the end of the first quarter. You could see it in their faces. For all the flack Jerry gets, he has drafted the best OL in the NFL in the last 4 yrs. Smith, Fredrick and Leary in the same yr, and Martin this yr. The pocket Romo has and the holes Murray has are just a thing of beauty. Romo drops back to pass there is literally nobody within 5 yrds of him. This team will do this to any of the 31 other NFL teams.

Im going to openly say that i sold Romo short. The guy has evolved his game to the next stage in his career. Taking what the defense gives you and handing the ball off to Murray. I think Romo has come to terms with his limitations and understands the weapons he has.

Murray has taken the lead on offense. Everything starts with him. I noticed that he is still holding the ball away from his body at times but he has switched his finger from under the ball to griping the point of the ball. That alone will secure the ball, and the proof that that alone works just look what it did for Tiki Barber's career. Murray is 150 yrds ahead of the closest RB. He is killing it this yr.

Finally a Wr took the rewards of Dez getting so much attention. Actually two, TW and Witten made the defense pay for doubling Dez early. But they then went single coverage on Dez and he pretty much got shut out. Thats concerning to me. Dez just doesnt seem like a complete WR. He wont adjust his routes and he doesnt seem to be willing to help out Romo when in trouble. I think Dez price could be falling. Not alot but i dont think he's worth CJ money. Nowhere close.

Bruce Carter is a man amongst boys this yr. He is blowing people up, defending the pass and blitzing that a man possessed,. His injury sure played a big role in the yrds Dallas gave up at the end of the game. We saw the big difference between Carter on the field and Wilber. And after seeing that i hope Carter isnt out for any amount of time.

Shame on the Cowboys for trying to turn Crawford into a DE.

I would love for Crawford to add 8-10 lbs and have him line up with Melton in the starting lineup. Nobody is going to tell me Crawford cant handle the double team. He did it plenty yesterday and still pushed it back and got pressure and played good vs the run. Melton and Crawford together would cause nightmares for OCs.

It all wasnt good yesterday. Those that were trying to say Wilcox wasnt as bad as people thought,, i really hope you paid attention to him this week. When NO needed a completion they went to Wilcox. He doesnt tackle but rather just launches himself into players and he just doesnt seem to know what he's doing. Takes bad angles and seems lost.

Feel bad for MO being hurt but im glad he is off the field. And thats being 100% honest.

Jason Garrett seems like a good coach now with 2 coordinators who know what they have in players and know how to use them. Thats what all the great coaches had. Its not about the HC making all the decisions but about allowing and trusting your coaches to do what they do best.

Spencer is going to be back full strength soon. Said he felt no discomfort and wasnt really tired either. So thats saying the guy was working hard on his conditioning.

While so much of what you said is true, this statement is brilliant. Romo has relaxed, loeaned back, and will allow the run game to dictate to the defense, which sets up his passing game. The offensive line is making Romo not a bus driver, but a surgeon.

Wilcox did his best BW Webb last night. He spent most of his time chasing cars... Jerry now needs to address the safety position this year in the draft. We need a safety that can cover!!!!

Great obs, but slow your roll.on the GM Jones love. If I'm not . mistaken he had to be strongly convinced to.draft Fredbeard and Martin. I know he wanted Johnny Football and they were set.to draft Shaker before Pitt drafted him. I'll also go as far as to say, this team was not his vision. Jerry has wanted nothing to do with a run. First offense. He's too busy trying to.sell tickets behind an entertaining passing attack. I'll credit Will and Stephen more. Will for identifying the talent lately and Stephen for talking Jerry down on his initial urges.

The rest are great obs.

Romo's play action acting has improved each week as well. He's really starting to sell it.

Tony has always been a good QB at selling the play action. What it really comes down to is if the RUN is effective or not. When we are running effectively D has to respect the pass action. In the past opposing D didn't have to respect our RUN.

You are probably right but Jerry still makes the last call. Whether they talked him into it or not, he listened, he respected their advice/evaluations enough to pull the trigger. That's the victory.

He could have over ruled them and turned in the Manziel card...he did not.

Nice post.

I was one of those confident this off-season with Linehan and Marinelli running things. I think they decided to try to dictate their game, instead of reacting to the other team.

The OL has been outstanding and seeing the LB fly around was a nice surprise.

They are far from complete, but if they play with the fire they had last night, they can make the playoffs.

That is my thought exactly Jerry would not of designed these last four drafts with an outcome like we have today. Let the credit be to the coaches who have turned some surprises into real assets.

Simply stating that the praise should be spread and not just laid on the lap.of Jerry. Jerry by no means deserves all of the credit. Other teams have a GM, we have GM by committee. I know, I know, other teams have varying voice that influence their perspective GMs, but we're not dealing with a normal GM atmosphere. We're dealing with someone that wants at his core to do it his way, regardless of various input or opinions. Jerry is starving for a chip without Jimmy influence over the team and he's failed miserably going about it his way and still struggles to listen to his counselors. He gets props, but only at at 33% clip along with the other two.

Yup, right out of JJs mouth to. I think even he's shocked at how well room has recovered.

But im sure you would lay any failure on his lap

As I recall the draft committee made the and makes the decisions on drafting. What does it matter if Jerry listened to
the council HE hired and that was his pre-plan creation. A committee to listen to and form a consensus?
We all were about defensive drafting so the draft didn't fall our way? Good on Jerry for the smart option.
You hate may go so far as to say the team was not his vision but we're moving on without your bias

What?! Then another dumas decision to hire people you have no intention of getting help.from. the fact is he wanted Johnny a d said himself he had to be talked out if it. That's just not business smart pimp.

In other words, he didn't step in and **** everything up. Yeah, great GM

I agree with everything you said except that we drafted Smith, Leary and Frederick in the same year.

Smith was drafted in 2011
Leary was acquired as an undrafted FA in 2012
Frederick was drafted in 2013
Martin was drafted in 2014

Good write up LM. With regards to Romo, I didn't see any limitations when he was dodging that pass rush on that 3rd down play when he finally got the pass off to Witten or on that career long 21 yard run he had yesterday.
