My Thoughts New Era in Dallas

I know the thought amongst you old folks is Romo should start once healthy. A rookie cant possibly win unless everybody is healthy.....Wait Dak just led the team from behind without 40% of his starting OL, his lead WR. The honest truth is this team is better off with Dak. A QB who isnt going to fold under a middle blitz. A young QB who is healthy, who doesnt have back problems, shoulder problems. Its time to turn the page, its time to let the present become your future. Dak is already changing plays at the LOS you see how smart the kid really is. You cant coach what he's doing. The guy made losing Dez this week look like Dez is a non factor. Its his time and I just cant see this team going back and putting Romo back at the helm when you have a rookie playing this good. You let Romo back him up and collect that money. If Dak get hurts you have a very good QB to back him up. This is Daks team now, fans are just going to have to get used to it. I dont get the whole Romo cry, fans criticize this team so much for not drafting a QB because Romo is injury prone. But They did and Romo got hurt, but the same people are begging for Romo to be the starter again.

Elliot has arrived. He is making Daks life so much easier. Elliot reminds me of Emmitt 100%. Wait for the hole see it 1 cut and he's gone. Classic Emmitt movements. Wish he wouldve asked for 22. Elliot has even elivated Morris' game. He see's how good Elliot is and it just seems like he's trying to top him.

Chaz Green is the future for this team in 2017 at RT. I said it all offseason Leary could start for any team in the league. He is going to get paid this offseason as a UFA.

Dallas has some of the most athletic WRs in the NFL but i would choose smart WRs that are less athletic because we seen all offseason how stupid this group minus beasley are. Dez is a childish selfish d-bag who will put himself before the team every time. But play the good teammate when cameras are rolling sunday. TW just doesnt seem to want to improve his game, rather then using his ability to get by. Butler actually looks like somebody who you can coach up but his pouting when "good teammate" was giving him tips made me think otherwise. I would take 3 more beasleys over these 3 all day sunday tho.

T Crawford is looking like a suprise at LDE 3rd time around. guy seems to have learned to use his speed to beat the RT inside rather then just trying to bullrush everytime. He might be able to give this team more at LDE and move Lawrence to the right side. Dallas has a bunch of bulls inside with McClain, Collins and Thornton. They might give an occasional big run but for the most part you arent running inside anymore.

Lee and Durant are starting to form a real nice guard in the middle of the field. And on the edge ur not getting to it most often then not.

Morris Claiborne is a shutdown CB. The guy is taking guys out of the game. Just seems like after 4 yrs he's healthy and you see just how good he is. He will be getting a big contract from Dallas this yr. Hopefully not too big but he wont be leaving dallas.

Overall this defense is playing better every week and now they get Lawrence back. Things are looking up and its a great thing for me that this isnt relying on Romo or Dez to be able to win games. Romo IMO is either going to retire or be a june 1 cut next yr. And im starting to count the days before Dez and his leg injuries arent in Dallas.

DL is a mess DT getting moved out on combo blocks that are also hitting the LBers. The reason being nothing scary on the ends.

As for Dak winning I applaud him. Some here thought it was going to be blow out, Dak did start slow and when Bowman went off the field things got easier. People hate to hear this Dallas should have beaten SF, personnel wise they are a mess and Chippy does not help. I used to like Torry Smith but what the hell happened, oh yeah he does not have a real QB throwing to him.

You're in for both extreme disappointment and a rude awakening if you think there is ANY shot Romo sits on the bench when he is healthy. Does not matter if Dak wins out till Romos return, he is starting when he is available. And that is the way it should be.

Bottom line is Romo will start when healthy, but if he cant stay healthy then it's Dak's team. Romo would have to finish the year for him to start next year. If he gets hurt they will turn the page and the new era will start with Dak. I think it would be good for Dak to sit and watch Romo for a few games as Romo does truly master the offense and the reads. With Dak's playing time together a good break may help him adjust even better and take his game up another level. Romo has had some bad luck that's all

in 2014 everybody had this same attitude for Murray, hes doing good but wait til he gets hurt. he had 1800 yrds :)
By December he wasn't special and was worn down from too many carries. In December his ypc was under 4.0 but did get it up tp 4.5 in the playoffs. He had over 100 more carries than any RB in the league that year.

And, pray tell, what will happen after Romo comes back and has another multiple interception game?
He'll get the game ball for also throwing four touchdowns in addition to actually throwing a ball past the sticks?
