It's all about how many games you get out of him. Healthy he is a better 2 than Gallup.

Cooks and Gilmore are one year rentals so hopefully it does not impact our decision making in the draft.
I could Cooks being a two year guy. Going to be interested to see if they rework his contract and what that would look like

The good thing about Cooks is he allows us to back Tolbert, Gallup or a mid-round draft pick to be WR3 but we aren’t relying on any one of them. We have a lot more freedom in the draft now. I think it might be one of the TE’s or RB’s we draft which to me isn’t a bad thing.
I think we go Oline

Gotta go BPA. If they sit there and receiver is the best player they have to think about it at least.
Its unlikely to be though. I think thats why they were looking at WR's. Similar to Cooper in 2018, the belief they were going to have to draft one, and they didnt like the prospects that were going to be coming that year. To paraphrase the post Cooper trade leaks.

I think after the first, WR is still an distinct possibility, even in the 2nd

In what is considered a weak draft in regards to depth, you have to give the front office credit for trading away late picks for proven players
I think it is also wise to trade down with the 1st round pick, and package picks up to the first half of the second, to get 2 additional starters, (Diggs level starters.) Mazi Smith and Steve Avilia would be my targets.

An OL isnt going to start this year, so I dont see them going there. Definitely not interior.
You don’t think a G like O’Cyrus starts? I think there are guys you can get there like him and the TCU kid that you could plug in. But if there are studs in other positions there I don’t see it.

No. Not until Tyler Smith moves to LT permanently. Tyron is going to start at LT. Steele is expected back by camp. You dont take an interior OL in the first unless he is a walk in starter. It has low positional value in first place, and starting on the bench makes even less likely

Makes it somewhat easier to take BPA's. It's good to not have to pick for major needs. WR was a MAJOR need.

I'm looking forward to a draft that should bolster our OL depth, CB depth and our LB depth as well. Hopefully, the DT and DE spots will enjoy similar backup help, also. I'll look forward to a successful draft and season, with a team fortified with added talent at needy positions.

Just chill Darth. Get us a 1T and a swing tackle or LB and we roll! Special teams in the back half of the draft.
nah, we need to draft a special teams guy in the 1st 2 rounds. It is a priority.

Dallas has seemed to put a emphasis on boring players who just do their job. Something this team needs. Too many players last yr start reading their press clips as the yr went on.
and that is why we lost to Sf? Or was Dak reading his clips, because the reason we lost was Dak.
