Why would they possibly draft a TE at all? Didnt they draft Ferguson with the full intent of him taking over at TE if he showed he was ready? Didnt he and Pendershot show they were ready? They already gave up draft capital on a TE last year, now let the guy take over.
agreed no need for a TE.. heck as crazy as it depends Daltons not getting the luv he thought ..wht if they score another team friendly deal get Dalton back 3 years 24mil? they are on roll this offseason with team friendly deal in and out of house..

and that is why we lost to Sf? Or was Dak reading his clips, because the reason we lost was Dak.
3 dropped ints helped. Especially the one by trevon sf scored the winning td right after. Dak gets blamed for that to?

-Very weird we got him for a 5th and 2024 6th, when the in season ask was supposedly a 1st

- Short term fix. Probably here for two years.

-WR wasnt likely at 26, but it should absolutely be on the table later if there is a guy they like. See above

- I wanted Hopkins above other WR's. Cooks does however fit #2 WR to a T

- He has been a very consistent player throughout his career. Fully healthy seasons have seen lows of 65 and highs of 90 in receptions. 75-1100 seems typical production.

-TD production is margin. Had a career high of 9 in 2015, but 5 or 6 seems the norm
think they were just holding us over a barrel knowing we had sb aspirations last year. shame

I’d imagine he’ll bring a similar valued center locker room presence for the wr group, like give tips the young guys like we’ve heard with Hilton

I think it is also wise to trade down with the 1st round pick, and package picks up to the first half of the second, to get 2 additional starters, (Diggs level starters.) Mazi Smith and Steve Avilia would be my targets.
I wouldn’t mind Smith straight up at #26

Underwhelmed....knew we would end up with Cooks....I can read Booger and Chuckles like a book. Go get Cedric back from the Fins and all will be forgiven. Only adding Cooks does not make this WR corp any scarier for the league, because Gallup is done.

Houston was trying to get more for him when teams really needed a WR. That's all. His salary/production looks like a 5th.

He was down last year but Houston was a dumpster fire. Upgrade over Hilton and Washington. My only issue is that he is pretty expensive. Other than that he is the speed guy they need. Good pick up.

An OL isnt going to start this year, so I dont see them going there. Definitely not interior.
I think an OG or C can. That will limit our need for using Tyron and keep his cap number low for next year (won’t reach his incentives).

I still think we pick a TE and let Schultz hit the road. He's a receiving TE who works the middle and has a feel for getting open. He doesn't block and he isn't strong enough to break tackles. Sure he's got value, but if we are truly going to run the ball more we need a TE who can do it all. I still think if the Texas running back is there we pick him. Running Backs sell Jerseys and I'd think Bijan will be O rookie of the year wherever he ends up.
Misconception. He does block, and is OK at it.

Dak gets blamed because he played like crap, PERIOD. If Our defense would have given up zero points, wed have one. Is it Daks fault our defense gave up points? smh
So did Diggs. 2 missed ints and a money choice on that missed hit with his eyes closed

My understanding was that last season the Texans were asking for a 3rd or 4th for Cooks, not a second. The Cowboys were ready to do that but Houston wouldn't take on enough of his salary.

What changed now is after the fact Cooks wanted out of Houston and the Texans realized they wouldn't get any more for him. This move for the Texans was about gaining cap space and getting rid of a player that had no interest in being involved in a long rebuild.

No need to do that. No player in this draft is worth that.
Respectfully disagree. Jalen can play DT1 or 3. Will put them over the top on Defense. Are 2 1st rounders worth a SB? Of course. After FA, this is the great position the cowboys find themselves
