My thoughts on the draft

They may also flex Irvin to play some DE.

Read some article yesterday where they interviewed Rod. Kept talking about the "bend" off the edge that Irvin has, he has never seen a guy that big have that. Sounds like DE is in the plans for him.

Yep, read the same article after I posted this response, I think I did a follow-up but it could have been a different thread.

He said he is looking at him at LDE, he said he was tall but he can bend.

I think that kid has something, we shall see!

Two players that run in the 4.3's and with football talents...well worth the shots on both. Remembering back to the entry of Scandrick, Brown reminds me a lot of that same entrance into the secondary at cornerback. Some talent, raw, but good.

Dunbar will not be on the active roster when the season starts, so Jackson should end up with a not often passed out tryout with the club. His speed should prove interesting, at least. And he did have solid running ability at the collegiate level.

Man, I don't see how one could dislike a tight end coming from a large and speedy basketball player from Baylor. He should handle all thrown to him, and be fluid, as well as a solid blocker due to his experiences as a large man on the court.

The first five picks pretty well stand on their own. They are solid and do add dignity to the defensive picture, at the very least.

Getting two top five pegged players with the first two picks, stands on it's own legs!
