Kiffin is finally allowing our CBs to play to their strengths: man to man coverage. Results? 4 INTs the last two games.

romo looks very uncomfortable against the blitz.

this has been true from last year, expect the same from Detroit. Its up to Callahan to design some plays to help him out but the problem is Romo doesnt have the touch for those screens passes.

My guess is that the organization understands that teams win trophies and not players. Unless you're talking about OPotY. If so, I'd agree, I'd love for Tony to play well enough to win an OPotY trophy.

So ur saying that the team had something to do with him forcing that throw on the int? I agree the defense was lousy the first half of the game. But the DEF is what gave the O a shot in the 2nd half. My point to you is Romo has always been about "ill make the play" when the elite QBs say ill take what they give me and keep it going and it will come. And thats why he hasnt won. Manning won with horrible defense. Eli won with a horrible OL, Rodgers won with one of the worst secondaries(yards wise) in the history of the nfl, as did brees. What gives Romo a pass?

anyways back on topic. For a forum that wants to cut down on negative threads, i like how a mod hijacked a whole post and turned it into a Romo is the devil thread when it wasnt. Just some things that where in my head. my thought on romo had more to do with him just looking as fluid as he has, and wondering if we are starting to see the decline in his body. Like we are with Ware.

All those other QB's you mentioned are elite. Romo is a scrub.

Happy now?

I actually like it when Tony doesn't have to play an exceptional game for us to eek out a win. Even though it was yet another boring 300 plus yard game for him.

Im going to start this with something a little controversial. And i never thought id feel this way because i was on this guys bandwagon since before he was on anybodys radar and when 99% of Cowboy fans were on Merrimans jock. Ware is becoming less and less of a necessity to this scheme.

Marinelli is proving that he doesnt need superstars on his DL but guys who go all out and stick to the system. The stick to their gaps and play together. McCoy was a nonfactor today.

I thought that was huge. I didn't see guys freelancing and abandoning the gap responsibilities trying to make a play on their own. They all stuck with the game plan and took away McCoy's bread and butter, which is picking up chunks of yards on cut backs.

The Cowboys defense didn't give him much room to run today.

I think they are going more to them short outs and quick slants that we saw today to Beasly and Dez. I like those plays. always good for an automatic 6 yrds

Yeah, right...you did not have bad intentions by mentioning that Romo did not put up all the fantasy stats that you might think he should did.

Yup, When Dallas Ware in particular get stopped he usually leaves his gap and takes it wide or tries to go underneith leaving his gap open. QBs just dunk it out to that open space he left open. He can get away with it most of the time because he's so athletic but its usually for a 6-7 yrd gain. But Wilber doesnt have that ability and he stayed in his area along with the rest of the dl and Foles had nowhere to step up into the pocket or a place to slide to the outside because there was always a DL there. The DL plays a perfect game today.

Lee and Carter are back 100% and are showing us fans what they thought about these guys coming out of college. Carter had some hickups this yr but he's back. Guy is quick to the ball and is using his head instead of just his athletic ability now. I think he got caught up in trying to make a play and he got burned a few times. Now he's learning stick to his assignment and the plays will come.

Wilcox is growing by the week. He's the future at SS, but i still feel church is a liabilty at FS. Dallas needs to address this, this offseason. Playing Church in certain packages will be better for him and this team.

These RBs Dallas has are not going to cut it plain and simple. There was holes and they just didnt hit them today. Randle IMO is Julius Jones all over. You can see it in his running, and it didnt hit me until i realised the number lol. Wouldnt hurt to bring up Meggett.

Cole Beasly should be ahead of Harris no ifs ands or buts. Should even be ahead of Miles. Austin is an afterthought. CBs just cant seem to stay with Beasly after his intial cut. Quick with great hands.

I think we are seeing the decline of Romo. And its starting to show. He's lost a little on his throws and alot of his accuracy if you ask me. They need to draft his replacement this yr and cut him after next yr. Derek Carr is the guy im hoping for.

Hatcher IDC what anybody says. Is a must sign. He blows up the entire middle of the line. People say he's playing for a contract. First he was playing DE in a 3-4, BUT when they moved him inside he always blew up the middle of the pocket. We are just seeing it consistently now because he is a DT in a 4-3.

Nevis is the guy that does all the dirty work. I love this guys motor.

Harris seems like he found his place and thats special teams. I think this team wanted more from him on the O side of the game but he's not going to produce consistently ever. But in the special teams he's a dominating force. Thats his place and thats where he should stay.

This OL had a so-so game and few penalties on Free but he saved Dallas on his FS at the goalline. Romo was going to be killed.

Carr MO and Scan have really picked up their game. Or should i said are allowed to play their game now with more man up play being allowed by Kiffin. It was obvious that Zone mess was allowing too much inside. This team is going to allow some things but since they switched to more man the payoff has been better results and wins.

This DEF shut down a Offense that killed a good bucs defense just a week ago. With Foles playing QB. Theres no question that Kiffin and Marinelli had a great gameplan today. McCoy and Celek i thought would be the problems but Kiffin made both non-**'n-Factors.

Go Cowboys 1st place

BEST post on here in a LONG time...I agree with everything, especially about the secondary: Wilcox is UNRECOGNIZABLE from pre season...kid is being coached UP.....Carr is very solid, Mo hasn't turned corner but i'm seeing awfully good signs and OScan was a GOOD extension. I was on OScan's butt last year but he's very good.....secondary was great today. (don't CARE about the QB's...not our problem their top 2 were hurt in DipChip's college Offense.

None of Romos INT were his fault today. No, for realz this time.

The Hail Mary..come on. and then.....

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon28s
Phillip Tanner took blame for Tony Romo's INT in 2nd half. Broke in instead of out. 34 said Romo acted as leader by yelling at him.
