For years now, I've somewhat enjoyed LM's game posts. At least he's trying...
But he's almost never once been right about Romo, ever.
Go back years and there's always an underlying negativity.
so I'll assume he's wrong again here.
LM wrong about Romo....and water is wet.

I do believe a silver lining from last night was that Dak got the 1st unit reps vs Seattle.
Great experience

Romo will be done soon enough, but not quite yet.

Exactly.

So you've got a rookie and an almost rookie leading this team?

Not to mention the massive cap hit.

Any post that even suggests that is off the bell curve.
Dallas can sign a vet. I dont think thats against the rules. I think showers is garbage. So it would be best for the team to go into the season with Romo who doesnt seem to be able to take the hits anymore? At some time you gotta say enough is enough. Itll cost alot of money but its done the moneys been paid. They can release him next yr as a designated june cut and have a cap hit of 9mil.

Dak has really out played even his biggest fans expectations
He appears to have a bright future but romo is and as long as he is healthy, will and should be the starter.
Romo helps Dak learn and grow as a player.
As long as he is healthy romo will and should start this year. But I could sure see Dak pushing for a change next year and I wasn't a fan of taking Dak
I've been very impressed at every aspect of his game and really think he has a bright future but I suspect he would probably agree he still has a lot to learn

His presence takes away from Daks growth????

Overall good write up but that's just silly. Romo is still the best QB on the roster stop it with the Dak overreaction
Par for the course with guy.
Romeo was done before the MVP like 2014 too

Agree with some but completely disagree with Romo retiring and trading Morris. Listen I think dak is the future too, but we need to be rational here.

Completely agree with Morris Claiborne..He's playing a lot better and his physicality is 100% improved over previous years. Very good to see.

Showers is not garbage he is what most teams have as a backup QB. I would not get rid of him as he has yet to do anything close to what a bad backup would display. His time has mostly been with the dregs of the talent pool and has not enjoyed the serenity of the 1st Oline passing pocket.

Look, I'm thrilled by Dak's showing in the preseason, but some of yall need to chill out. Many a quarterback even better than Dak balled put in the preseason then fail flat when defenses started scheming them.

As for Dak being the option over Romo? Bahahahahahahah!!! :lmao2::lmao::laugh:

I think I'm about done with Linehan. Obviously he was told to run Zeke a lot, and we were punishing the Seahawks they were on their heels frustrated to the point of committing stupid penalties. Once Zeke is out it's time to go pass happy.

I can't tell you how many times last year we would come out running getting five six yards a clip and this clown with no viable quarterback what start passing. The guy could possibly give Romo a chance to play this season if he just run the ball down people's throats. Sadly that's not his style and if he can't use this offense the way it's built to be used he needs to step aside and let somebody else to do it.

Pass happy? Dude. This is preseason. You've got a backup who may at some point need to play in real games. Yes, let's get him ready by having him hand the ball off

I would be happy if Romo has a great year, and Dak sits a year (or two)...
but I'm not confident that will be the case. I have a great concern for Romo after the back injury, & two collarbone injuries... others aren't concerned.. and thats fine..opinions...The facts will be revealed during the games.

I hope 9 can stay healthy... if he can't I'm more confident in our future at QB then I have been the last few years.

I agree LM, Dallas should sign a vet after cuts, Showers is not an NFL QB, and there is no doubt Romo will have a hard time staying healthy this year, you have to carry 3 QB's on the roster.

So there is no other QB available for the team to sign? they have to go with showers? All the other QBs have died or something?

When you have one of the best QBs in the game, you don't kick him to the curb. A true Cowboy fan understands what Romo means to this team and has his back through the good and the bad. I promise you that no one here will take offense to you joining the Seahawks board so you can rave about Wilson. Just please don't start praising Romo when he's standing on the podium w/ the Lombardi Trophy firmly in his grip. :starspin:

Retire? So you would prefer Showers as the backup to Prescott.
That's a scary scenario. Even if I wanted Dak to take over the starting role (and I don't) I would rather an all pro QB to be my backup over Showers.
your a Romo injury away from this happening!

I thought our Dline had great push, but couldn't finish the pressure. The seahawks were carving us up on the ground, but the primary issue was the defense was playing zone coverage and we weren't mixing anything up. I believe coaches put players in position to fail to see if they can overcome the situation.

I'll let someone else be the judge on Romo's retirement... Like maybe Romo and the Cowboy's staff?
