Romo is stunting Dak's growth? After 4 quarters of preseason action you're ready to proclaim Dak ready?

I remember when Sam Bradford lit up the preseason as a lad.

A lot of people are sounding like crazy people.

Dak is ready to be the everyday starter if you ask me. The guy played Wilson to a tie at the half. And probably shouldve had more points but TW missed that catch. This guy is the best QB of this draft and its not even close. While the other guys are considered projects and drafted in rd 1. Dak is already able to lead a team full of stars on offense. Just hand him the keys and let Romo walk away with his millions and with the ability to still walk.

Yeah, that was bad on TWill's part. The announcer tried to make it sound like the defender tipped it away but to me it looked like a flat out drop.

I'm pretty sure they wanted to see what Zeke could do hence they ran him at Seattle. Once he was out, I'm pretty sure they wanted to let Dak face the pressure of throwing vs Seattle. That's how preseason works.

Exactly right.

The thought wasn't about winning the game.

It was seeing how guys react in specific situations.

That's why it's preseason.

My thoughts...... Dak has solidified the #2 QB spot and moreover shown that, God forbid, Romo misses a few games that Dak is good enough for us to win with in Romo's absence.

Our offense will be good, probably very good if our play calling is adequate and we use common sense in that regard. Our defense, particularly in the secondary, is much improved, except for Wilcox. Our defensive line is good, and is getting better. We have adequate interior defensive line play for the first time in a while. Our linebackers could use some depth but if Nzoacha plays we will be better than some think. Wilbur is the weak link there as a starter.

We have no idea what the coaches need or want to see in pre season games. They are evaluating the players and plays.

And is what Jason said on the pregame show. They look at all players in different situations in all the PS games. They do not consider any game as a dress rehearsal game.

If I really thought Romo was going to lead this team to a Super Bowl victory I'd be offended by your comment, however I dont so I am not. As for the rest of it, no pass rush equals death.

Look, I'm thrilled by Dak's showing in the preseason, but some of yall need to chill out. Many a quarterback even better than Dak balled put in the preseason then fail flat when defenses started scheming them.

As for Dak being the option over Romo? Bahahahahahahah!!! :lmao2::lmao::laugh:
No rookie qb has ever had a preseason like Dak has had... just saying... but no he shouldn't start over Romo. That's just stupid. Not silly... stupid. And I like LM but that was just ludicrous.

I think I'm about done with Linehan. Obviously he was told to run Zeke a lot, and we were punishing the Seahawks they were on their heels frustrated to the point of committing stupid penalties. Once Zeke is out it's time to go pass happy.

I can't tell you how many times last year we would come out running getting five six yards a clip and this clown with no viable quarterback what start passing. The guy could possibly give Romo a chance to play this season if he just run the ball down people's throats. Sadly that's not his style and if he can't use this offense the way it's built to be used he needs to step aside and let somebody else to do it.

It's preseason. You need to check all facets of the game not try to win it. We needed to see Zeke run the ball. We needed to see the passing offense work. I agree if something is working in the regular season we shouldn't go away from it quickly, but once again this is preseason and its time for evaluations more then outcomes.

Preseason is about getting guys who need snap those snaps. It isn't about stupid macho play calling.
Preseason is about making your team believe they're Unstoppable which they would be if they stuck with the Run

Ugg not saying we have to run a hundred percent of the time you can use plenty of ways to test out whatever you want on offense and still run the ball down people's throats like the first drive for instance there was a balance

MY sincere genuine thoughts are that Romo should just retire. The Cowboys should push for it too. The guy just cant take the hits anymore. His presence just takes away from Daks growth. Its time to move on.

Zeke is a animal. He is going to tear the nfl up. I think Dallas should actually trade Morris and try to get some help on the DL. Morris has showed he can run. There alot of teams that he could start for. Doubt that happens tho. The 2 headed monster are going to run all over the nfl.

This OL is just awsome.

Jack Crawford isnt great, but he is disruptive. Even if he doesnt make the play he influences where the ball goes because he just never stops going.

This LBer group needs Jaylon Smith to come thru. They are small and are going to get wore out if teams pound them with the run.

This secondary is physical. And the guy leading the way with that style is Claiborne, he had a up and down gme but he is setting the tone for them. The more he plays the more i think he gets better.

Wilcox is the worst player in the nfl.

I agree on everything except Romo retiring and trading Morris. I agree that we could compete if we had to rely on Dak. The difference between him and the veteran backup QBs we've had in the past is that he's a play maker. Even if he starts making rookie mistakes, he makes plays that none of those veterans could've made. But I still think Romo is our best shot at a Super Bowl and I want to see him get one last crack at it. But it's painful to watch him take any hit now. If this keeps up, I think he should hang it up soon. Hopefully we're just overreacting to an awkward tackle.

And I definitely don't think we should trade Morris. 1) He fits our offense much better than McFadden did, 2) He could be an excellent starter if Elliott went down for any extended period of time, 3) He could make an excellent duo with Elliott. Our best shot at a Super Bowl since the 90s was two years ago. We had a very similar team. We disguised a very bad D-line with a dedication to our running game. It allowed Romo to look like Aaron Rodgers, and it allowed our defense to stay off the field. And I think we could be even better this year for a few reasons: 1) our O-line is more experienced and probably better than it was, 2) Elliott could be better than Murray, 3) Elliott doesn't fumble, and fumbles could be what cost us that season, 4) We have an awesome backup in Morris, which we didn't have in 2014.

I would be happy if Romo has a great year, and Dak sits a year (or two)...
but I'm not confident that will be the case. I have a great concern for Romo after the back injury, & two collarbone injuries... others aren't concerned.. and thats fine..opinions...The facts will be revealed during the games.

I hope 9 can stay healthy... if he can't I'm more confident in our future at QB then I have been the last few years.

Exactly with me. I want 2 more years out of Romo. I think that'll be enough time for Dak to develop and be ready to be an immediate force at QB. But I'm confident with Dak starting sooner than expected. The kid has something special. But let's not forget that Romo has something special too.

Right. Let's believe we are unstoppable instead of getting guys ready or being able to evaluate the players you need to evaluate. Smart.

Dak needs more time passing against NFL defenses. THat is why this is a preseason game. I guarantee if it is a regular season game, they will run more, they will move Dak around more...
