Think you have to also put Jeanty on your listing, you may not consider a back so high, but doesn't mean they won't.
it's "his" target list though. sorry, see he already said the same.

The Cowboys would probably have players that we are not talking about in the 12-15 range. It’s so early in the process. I remember Broaddus saying teams don’t put their boards together until early March. I will say this. Unless Hunter some how falls there is no way the Cowboys are drafting a receiver in round 1.

They could draft McMillan or Burden if they are bpa.

It would be a waste of a resource. CeeDee gets most of the passes and then Ferguson will get the left overs. It would not be smart to draft a receiver who will get less then 5 targets when you have other needs. Jeanty is the favorite offensive player to be picked because we know he will get at least 20 touches a game.

Disagree, both the top 2 receivers are in play.

Ferguson really has had a poor year due to injuries, but you still need another high-end receiver. Just look at all the contenders, they have multiple with good TE's.

The Cowboys are unpredictable. The only player I would say is in play before the combine is Jeanty. McMillan and Missouri kid have not been great this season.

The Cowboys need to much to waste two of your top 4 picks on receiver.

WR has become one of the most expensive positions in football. You're paying $13M a season to get Gabe Davis or Darnell Mooney.
I am hoping to similar type of trade like Cooks, where Houston took on some salary or a player on a short term deal to hold the position down

I like Carter much better than Walker. Carter will be gone though, and I just Walker is worth that pick. Walker could wind up one of those guys thats not particularly good at playing LB, and not a dominant player on the edge
Check this out......

1: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

Outstanding DT prospect that can align all over the interior in am even or odd front. Can penetrate, achor and stack and shed. Reminds of Muhammad Wilkerson.

2: Luther Burden, WR, Missouri

YAC monster with jets to threaten defense's vertically. Reminds me of a better version of Brandon Aiyuk coming out back in 2020. Aiyuk maxed out and became a #1 WR. Burden has that potential and would be an elite #2 opposite Lamb and would take alot of attention away

3: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Neck and neck with Pearce here. Nolan gets the nod because its hard to find quality 3T prospects. Nolan really put it together this year with 7 sacks. He could be a Madubuike type player

4: James Pearse, DE, Tennessee

Explosive edge rusher. If he was 10 pounds heavier right now he might be a top 10 pick. Wouldn't shock me if he is anyways. By year 2 or 3 will probably be about 265. Could be one of the better all around ends in the NFL. Reminds me a bit of Josh Allen

5: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

Grants stock is going to be interesting. Probably wont be much of a 3 down player his first year. However he has exceptional athleticism for his size, and should develop into a Daron Payne type player. He has been able to rush the passer at UM, but does on on athleticism. Needs to develop more of a pass rush arsenal in the pros

Some notes:

- I have Mykel Williams and Will Johnson off the board. If we start losing, they become guys to watch

- I dont have Jeanty on their because Im a believer that its not smart to use that kind of capital in a HB. His usage also scares me

- Id like Starks more if the class wasnt strong at premium positions of need. He will probably be drafted in our range, but I cant justify it with the needs we have in the DL and WR
I’m drafting whoever the top rated player that falls is. We’ve got a lot of holes so hard to mess it up unless pick for need.

I’d also add Starks to the list. His ability to cover bumps his value so I wouldn’t knock his value bc he’s a safety.

This…it’s a crap FA class for WR with a bunch of older declining players that are big names (probably a Jerry special).

I’d be blowing up the phones for a trade and TMac / Burden should be top targets.

BTW......why no one is talking about Will Johnson?

Diggs may be a cap casualty after 2025 ..........

Agree.......they give you 4-5 years of an elite WR on a rookie deal.
